If they can’t copy it, they start threatening. Vercel can’t handle fair competition. Imagine a billion-dollar company threatening a 100% bootstrapped indie creator.

Last year, the city of Austin turned off their Flock cameras as the result of a targeted misinformation campaign. This weekend, for nearly 24 hours, three suspects drove around Austin in stolen vehicles, undetected, conducting a shooting spree at 12 separate locations. They shot multiple people, houses, apartment buildings, businesses, and fire stations. They committed multiple robberies and car thefts during the spree. Despite a full manhunt involving 200 officers, with helicopter and K9 support, they weren't able to locate the suspects, and the spree continued. Luckily, the suspects drove into the Flock-supported city of Manor, TX. Manor is a small city with ~20k residents, and a fraction of Austin's budget. What they do have is modern technology and the ability not to fall victim to misinformation campaigns. After the suspects drove into Manor to continue their shooting spree, Manor PD located them almost immediately. The residents of Manor stayed safe. This is a tale of two cities. I love Austin. I have plenty of friends who live there. I myself almost moved there years ago. I'm glad that the shooting spree is over, but I just wish it never happened.

Meta AI glasses are face-worn cameras, microphones, speakers, sensors, and cloud AI tied to a Meta account. [wrapped in something that looks like normal eyewear] That is the threat model. When someone records with a phone, there is a visible gesture. People notice the rectangle. With AI glasses, the camera sits at eye level. The social signal is gone. Bystanders may not know they are being filmed, recorded, transcribed, translated, or fed as visual context into a Meta AI query. The capture LED is NOT consent. It is not visible in every environment. It does not solve audio. It does not solve bystander privacy. It does not solve the fact that most people will not understand what the device is doing. Meta tells users to power the glasses off in doctor’s offices, bathrooms, locker rooms, schools, and places of worship. That advice is the tell. If a product needs users to remember to disable it in sensitive environments, the default posture is already broken. The data flow: Calendar, Outlook, Garmin, Strava, Apple Health, Health Connect, WhatsApp, Messenger, Instagram, voice commands, cloud inference, all routed through Meta. Your calendar alone is a social graph, location history, medical appointment log, work map, and routine fingerprint. Now strap that context to a sensing platform on your face. The Ray-Ban Display model adds in-lens notifications, live captions, navigation, AI answers, and wrist neural input. The attack surface expands. Shoulder surfing the lens. Visual prompt injection from the environment. Malicious app connections. Account compromise exposing message and device controls.

On chud the builder since people are seething in my replies: No, blacks shouldnt be able to assault you over a word and they shouldn't be allowed to shoot your dog. Given chuds history of posting about violence towards black people, it's very stupid for him to go out and instigate fights for donations on streams. If he was assaulted and defended himself, he deserves to be exonerated. You people are trying to make him into Rosa Parks for white people and it's just a fundamental misunderstanding of how the Civil Rights revolution worked. It's not going to work like that, this isn't how things change. People are trying to make this into some statement of political activism when it's just garbage tier entertainment like Johnny Somali and nobody thinks he's some political Savant. Multiple things can be true and you need to understand how these things will be framed. This isn't some guy who yelled a slur at a black dude and got attacked, he's got a long history of violent threats and prosecution will point to that. And of course saying a slur should not be something that justifies people assaulting you.

I tried to tell Dalton aka ChudtheBuilder and I tried to warn everyone. I call him out for exactly what he does that led to him shooting a man today in our interaction last week. Baiting people into reactions while he’s carrying a gun. You can see me actually looking down a few times at the imprint of the gun to ensure he never reaches for it. This was never about freedom of speech. You can’t play victim when you go after people with hateful, racist rhetoric and then threaten to mace or shoot people. The sad part about this is I spoke with a lieutenant with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office this morning as he called me back. I asked about his arrest in Nashville violating the terms of his bond agreement for his current court case in Clarksville/Mont. county. He said they don’t issue the warrants. I then explain that he does these things while being armed and the lieutenant kind of shrugged it off like it wasn’t a big deal and that Dalton was a frequent through their department. That conversation ended with me thinking “they don’t understand the liability and danger this guy is to the public”. A few hours later, after I made this post (x.com/legacyprogramv…), warning Dalton about the consequences of his actions, he ends up shooting someone. I tried. This is the EXACT thing I was trying to avoid and why I made so many calls around Montgomery County and Nashville/Davidson County this past weekend.

Insane story. A school district in Long Island covered up a watermelon painting on the personalized parking spot of a high school senior after complaints from pro-Israel parents. The student sued, alleging 1st amendment violation. The judge found that the student had a case and urged the school to settle. An initial agreement of $100k + apology was reached. Then the school reneged on the apology and paid an extra $25k instead - all to avoid admitting that expressions the Palestinian identity are not hate speech.
