Planning to use Authority/ Authority Supreme to control #kochia? Needs to be applied before it comes up = no green growth. Kochia can germinate early, cool soil temps. Set up for success and time it for some early spring rains. #changeofmindset @FMCAgCanada

Great to hear from growers at @SaskWheat's Coffee Shop Talk in Davidson yesterday. One topic was mowing kochia - suggested timing is at or before flowering to prevent HR pollen movement. If you've not seen them flowering, here are a few images to show the flowers as reference.

Lentil growers, aphid pressure is increasing! Thresholds: 20-66 aphids per 180° sweep with a 15” net. High yield potential: 20-30 aphids/sweep. Immediate action: 70 aphids/sweep. Scout often! Protect your crops: bit.ly/3Wj6rk6

The vast majority of grasshoppers active in Alberta and Saskatchewan in the first 3 weeks of May are the harmless species. The crop species begin this weekend, and look like this. These are 1-day-old hoppers as they appear on the Prairies. The fill-size image is available free.
