🧵 Something to consider We have supported way too many grifters and opportunists over the years Whether it be content creators, temu builders, or ppl larping as “entrepreneurs” Just bc someone pretends to be bullish on ICP over a period of time - that doesn’t mean they are here for the right reasons. We’ve seen COUNTLESS examples of this. There has been TONS OF GRANT MONEY given out to people who are no longer here and did NOTHING with the money. People know we have a large active eco. And many people have used this to their advantage. I would consider using more discernment with accounts talking about ICP. Your attention and support is more valuable than you realize. **And I would reserve it for the people actually doing good work and contributing in a positive way** It is on everyone else to pivot to ICP. Not on us to blindly support opportunists just bc they are one more ICP advocate. NOT EVERYONE is a net positive. Think about how many people were hyping the fear/panic machine MONTHS ago. Right before Dfinity partnered with Pakistan. Alllllll the “ICP Spaces” with opportunists acting like they should be running Dfinity. Notice how exactly zero people in that crowd acknowledged they were wrong after Dfinity partnered with the 5th largest country on Earth. Remember this time last year. When a bunch of yes men for a particular ICP whale tried to convince you that if we don’t all listen to this whale and support what he’s doing, then ICP in trouble..? Bc I do. Most of those people are still here too btw. Time and time again this community gets taken to the cleaners by charlatans and opportunists. Why? Bc our standard operating procedure is to blindly support anyone who *appears to be* an ICP advocate. We should have higher standards. Effective immediately. $ICP ☁️♾️

The reason I said a few months ago that DeFi will be massively better on the IC is Sector9’s architecture. Currently, swapping 100 different tokens between canister A and canister B with guarantees requires a custodian canister in the middle. This custodian receives both tokens and performs the swap atomically. On top of that, two ledger canisters are involved. Altogether, this results in roughly 1200 inter-canister calls. With Sector9, once fully implemented and executed correctly, the same swap of 100 will require a single call, while providing the same—or even stronger—guarantees, along with significantly more flexibility and does not require you to develop standards for everything. This new architecture goes far beyond better token handling. It addresses some of the most fundamental problems of the IC, particularly those arising from asynchronicity and the lack of a public single state machine.

@BradHuston @dfinity I couldn't agree less. The world simply doesn't understand the difference beetwen ICP and oracles, layer 1, etc... There is no product to market (except probably caffeine, btc DeFi) because there is no interest. People don't care about differences for now.

Internet Computer bros are mad that the U.S. Government went with $PYTH a crypto chain based in Baar, Switzerland to put government data on its blockchain. Once again, Dom and @dfinity have been out hustled as Dfinity continues to mock traditional marketing efforts. I have a $3.50 sell target...and I would expect heavy selling into the last part of the year. Hope $ICP holds the top 100 with a major crypto run, that they won't be participating in, this fall. Just jaw dropping the utter ineptitude of the Dfinity Foundation.
