@27_DMAC @Dastrunk @CoachDiesel Other teams match OKC’s physicality from the jump and have success. This is seen most notably with the spurs. The suns have played with fear of getting a foul call instead of embracing it. I guarantee you if they started playing like OKC from the start of the game, it would work

@Dastrunk @CoachDiesel EXACTLY....THAT'S WHY EVERYONE HAS HAD ENOUGH...THAT'S WHY BOOK WENT THERE ON THE REFS...YOU CAN'T BEAT THE THUNDER WHEN YOU ALREADY KNOW IT'S GONNA BE CALLED ONE WAY. AS SOON AS PHOENIX TRIED TO BE PHYSICAL...WHISTLE BOWIN'.

@Dice63080636695 @Nealerrr @Soucer23 Analysts said the same thing about the canes playing the senators this series and the canes are up 3-0. This team is just playing really good hockey right now

The NHL playoff format needs a serious change. How is it fair that the Carolina Hurricanes got a first round bye, but all 14 other teams have to play a best of 7 series?

@Galloweynba @nateoatz @alexcruzrd @MasterClutch_ Luka does everything that shai does but is even worse about it. I am not even that big of a shai fun but come on, every superstar drives to get contact. Like this post said, shai does it even less than Luka does because shai’s game is predicated on being shifty. What a wild take

@ardeekay1 @_anthonynash This is said everytime but the Thunder are good at drawing fouls and understand the rule book. Very rarely are the given calls that other teams don’t get as well. Green and booker do the same stuff, so do the heat, wolves etc. officiating doesn’t make a team lose by 30

@_anthonynash The lack of consistency is an issue but when the lack of constituency consistently goes against one team, it needs to be looked into. I watched the game and frankly, was disgusted at the officiating.

@stretchgoose @BrickCenter_ What he is doing is much more ethical than harden. He is statistically the most efficient guard ever on one of the best teams ever. I think you are misremembering how bad the harden stuff actually was, they had to invent rules to stop what he was doing, shai isn’t there

@BrickCenter_ Its not that sga gets fouled its how its happening thats gross. He is seeking out the foul rather than just playing and if it happens it happens. Its a young version of harden

@Betsycashmoney @Watchin_Wemby We agree on this by getting a big guard who can play defense. Brunson and curry are the only two small guards who can exist on a playoff team and hurry is still out about Brunson being a lead guard in a championship team. The rockets lack of shooting is the bigger issue.

@evyn_good @Watchin_Wemby Then get a better guard & more shooting? Like wtf kind of logic is this? "It's better to just suck indefinitely & never advance in the playoffs" Like what?

We do this like clockwork literally every playoffs: Sept thru March, everyone's saying "Small guards are dead! Wings & switchability are all that matters!" And then the playoffs start & everyone is like "Wait, so it turns out that halfcourt creation actually matters"
Carson Breber@Carsobi

Ballhandling is so important in the playoffs. Once this series started, it’s like CJ McCollum instantly became a much better offensive player than Jalen Johnson because one guy can comfortably dribble to his spots and make pull-up jumpers vs. pressure, and the other cannot.

@Betsycashmoney @Watchin_Wemby Houston has their own small guard in Reed Shepard who is unplayable if his shot isn’t falling because he gets destroyed on defense. Creation is important but all of the best teams have jumbo guards and playmakers(Cade, shai, Luka, hali when healthy)

@Watchin_Wemby This isn't a logical counterargument. You're arguing against a point that no one is making. No one is claiming size doesn't matter-- size is always an advantage, at every position. But we gotta acknowledge that offenses like Houston's are literally nonfunctional in the playoffs.

@shagssportstalk @kick50 @TheHoopHerald I think the bigger issue is he had 5 fouls in 7 minutes of play and stood over the Michigan state player. Nobody should act like that when you commit a hard foul and you certainly shouldn’t do that when you are down 27 points in the road

@kick50 @TheHoopHerald If he did cross that line then you have a conversation with him about it you can’t preach about guys being soft etc then that happens and immediately flip out. Also puts a bad look on the program for other recruits or transfers who see that thinking about going to UCLA.
