There are a lot of comments about this and dating culture, but I think the biggest driver of declining marriage rates is too much optionality. Social media and dating apps feed a “grass is greener” mentality for both men and women. Both sexes probably miss out on meaningful connections because it’s so easy to meet someone new. Our parents had more limited options.
