As Australia makes it harder for founders to build companies, New Zealand should do the opposite.
We need to use our more competitive tax settings and agile economy to attract entrepreneurs, retain talent, and encourage people to build globally ambitious businesses here.
Thriving companies create jobs, raise wages, drive innovation, and ultimately lift living standards for everyone. A stronger private sector helps fund the healthcare, education, and infrastructure we all rely on.

@2ETEKA @StradGina Bring that debate! Winston would own them both.

Luxon is panicking,
Winston Peters asks Luxon to reconcile his remarks with that steaming pile of crap Luxon calls a free trade deal.
Realising his woeful Indian deal has little support - (Roy Morgan’s latest poll has National dropping to 25%), within 24 hours the PM pivoted on his take on the immigration ‘revolt vote’ overseas.
The PM initially fobbed off the political earthquake in Oz and the UK as being ‘caused by social media’. Today he’s started talking about “smart immigration policy”.
He’s all crap. Like Acts nothing burger immigration policy (a pub quiz for immigrants) he’ll roll out some super superficial dross to assuage low information voters.
It’s like he’s only just realised kiwis have had enough of immigration. Probably not the smartest idea to go hog wild for the last two years worshipping Indians, and disparaging kiwis eh?
The Indian FTA is a disaster for the country. And he knows we know it.
Cannot wait for the election debates. If NZF keeps creeping up the polls, a three way debate with Luxon, Hipkins and WP could be on the cards.

🚩 Todd McClay just fell apart on Sean’s show, and Luxon’s dodgy Indian deal has descended into farce.
⚫️ He does not know how UNDRIP & Paris clauses got into the agreement
⚫️ He cannot say who put it In
⚫️ He says not to worry about it
⚫️ He then says we cannot amend or remove the clauses
⚫️ He says he couldn’t release the deal details before it was signed - as was too busy
⚫️ He says while it’s going to parliament with Labours and Acts support it’s basically a done deal
What a mess. Listen to this Turkey talking himself into knots. While over in India he’s obviously picked up a bad case of verbal diarrhoea.

@TheRedbaiter @SandeChin Great summary of why I won't vote for Luxon
English

PM Luxon claims to have 100% support within his caucus but then refuses to reveal what the vote was. Pretty typical really.
When Mr Luxon first became PM he wasn't that popular. The party's reaction was- "he's going to go out and meet people all over NZ. When they meet him, they will see the real Chris Luxon and they will like him".
This just hasn't happened. The PM has actually become far less liked. In the popularity stakes the PM is behind one of the worst opposition leaders Labour has ever put up.
The incumbent PM traditionally has a higher popularity rating than the opposition leader, but with Mr Luxon, this just hasn't happened.
On a broader scale, people don't like Labour. So why would they like National when Mr Luxon is intent on making them Labour-light? Examples follow-
Luxon said the protesters on parliament ground were despicable. He was thanked by Speaker Mallard (Labour) for his co-operation in their removal.
He has said people who support the protesters shouldn't vote for him.
Like Labour, Luxon has agreed on many occasions that the Treaty of Waitangi symbolises a partnership. He has been lax in turning back the takeover of the public service by Marxist Maori separatists.
He has insisted there is no room in the National party for anyone who "denies" or "minimalises" climate change and forced MP Maureen Pugh into a humiliating public back down on the issue.
Public service numbers are the same. Govt spending and debt have increased. Like Labour, National want to tax NZers on so many new fronts rather than make cuts in spending or reduce unwanted depts and Ministries.
Like Labour, Mr Luxon is dedicated to UN and WEF dictates like Net Zero and mass immigration, which remains at such levels some critics term it an invasion.
Labour wanted to force intensified housing on Auckland and other cities. National have continued this policy with excessive vigour.
Govt still funds Radio NZ and other media through Labour initiated funding arrangements.
Like Labour, Mr Luxon has said he wants to introduce digital ID (as Estonia has done). Like many left wing globalist leaders, he attacks free speech on the internet and wants compulsory age verification to use social media.
He says the International Criminal Court, a totally bogus organisation, has repute and authority, and that Israel's leader Netanyahu would be arrested if he set foot in New Zealand.
Instead of urging the Iranians to end arming proxies, to desist from developing ballistic missiles and to abandon their nuclear program, Luxon urges de-escalation. No condemnation of Iran. Just spineless complicit neutrality.
I could easily write a list three times as long as this, and on every point I can supply video (or audio) evidence to back it up.
This is the real Chris Luxon, and its no wonder he is unpopular with NZ voters and his own party.
Too late to dump him now. Also clear Mr Luxon supported by his like left wing deputies will not change course.
Voting NZ First or ACT is the only way to keep Labour or Labour-lite (Nats) out of your wallet and your life.
Like a spoilt child, National and Mr Luxon have to learn a lesson before they will change. That lesson is to have their power reduced.
Until they stop being Labour-lite and put the needs of NZ citizens over and above those of global organisations staffed by unelected anti-western subversives.

@catturd2 Yes he's lost it. Islam deserves to be mocked by Trump.

@nickofnz Wind and solar are a feeble basis for our energy crisis. Manmade global warming theory is farcical and merely a means to argue for more globalism, tax and centralisation.
English

A good government would take action now.
Ask people to work from home.
Make public transport free.
Subsidise people who can buy commuter e-bikes and EVs.
Cancel the ridiculous LNG import terminal idea.
Invest in wind and solar expansion.
Save fuel now and begin the shift AWAY from the oil & gas dependency.

I listen to David Seymour and all I hear is Adolf Hitler light.
David Seymour@dbseymour
Here’s what I said about @nzlabour in @actparty’s State of the Nation speech: "I listen to Chris Hipkins, and I hear Jacinda Ardern “light” … a lilting voice that says all the right things, promises nirvana, but never says how we will pay for it or tackles the key issues. He reminds me of an anaesthetist before he gives you the injection that knocks you out and makes you forget the pain." It’s like @chrishipkins speechwriter read this and tried to live up to it. ‘Affordability at the centre of everything,’ except his own policies, which he has no idea how to afford.
English

Farcical.
Yesterday, Chris Hipkins publicly criticised Genesis Energy for not dipping into its own pockets to fund new generation projects, completely unaware that the company is in fact committing $1.6 billion to new generation.
For the Labour leader to be so out of touch with the basic details of major new generation projects at a company in which the government holds a 51% stake, is a masterclass in incompetence.
Hipkins then claimed there is "manufactured scarcity" in electricity supply, completely ignoring the massive barrier of resource consents, which this government's Fast-track Approvals Act is designed to address.
Hipkins rounded off by criticising the proposed LNG terminal - while failing to make any mention of the record levels of Indonesian coal imported by Labour - which ironically coincided with his govt declaring a climate emergency.

🚩🚩 Luxon dislikes Trump, loves Bill Gates.
Chris is inspired by the rich elite Globalists : he infers Gates is a friend , phenomenal & an inspiration. Sigh.
Guyon: “ Are you happy with the 26 elite in the world owning more than 4 billion people ? Half the world?”
Luxon: “Um ahh haha probably not at some level, but having met some of those people a lot of them are doing good work. Think of the amazing work Bill & Melinda Gates has done, phenomenal what they do”
Guyon: “Do you move in those circles? Do you know Gates ?”
Luxon: “Um yeah yeah I..I.. used to go to his MS forum, I’ve met him yeah yeah….
What he’s doing around global health is really pretty inspiring stuff”.
Wouldn’t surprise me that the progressive name dropper has been to Little St James Island with his rich & phenomenal mates.
Interview pre-election.

Utter utter dumbarsery from Swarbrick crying that we should not be selling critical minerals to the USA to "prop up their National Security"...
WHO DOES SHE THINK PROPS OURS UP? She says she doesn't want to be on "Team Trump" but mate, we do actually. World order is maintained by threat of violence and the only thing in the way of China sweeping through the South Pacific is our mates in US.
