Recently: In Mali (Operation Serval, 2013) and subsequent Sahel operations (Barkhane), the US provided intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance (ISR), airlift, and logistics. In Libya (2011), the US enabled French-led efforts with initial strikes, logistics, and no-fly zone support (though France took a leading combat role). France also benefits from US technology transfers, joint exercises, and defense industrial cooperation.
