Christians who believe Jesus is God should logically have no problem hearing Mary called the “Mother of God” or “Mother of the Church.” If Jesus is fully God and Mary gave birth to Jesus, then what exactly are you arguing against? Or have some Christians now become more Christian than the Pope himself?

Kensington Metropark has a Chief DEI Officer on the payroll. Taxpayer dollars should be going to maintaining our parks, keeping them safe, and making them better for Michigan families, not funding woke jobs that have nothing to do with running a park. Not happening when I’m Governor. If our parks and public institutions are using taxpayer dollars for roles like this instead of focusing on what actually matters, that funding is getting cut. End of story.

That’s actually closer to a theological disagreement, not a simple correction. In mainstream Christian doctrine, Jesus isn’t seen as a separate “body used by God”, but as God the Son incarnate. That’s exactly why the term exists in their tradition. So you can simply say: “That’s your interpretation, but Christian theology teaches the incarnation, not just a ‘body God used’. The debate is about Christ’s nature, not Mary’s status.”

@MasterMaliq I thought I recalled reading thar while skimming through the zquran a friend gave me. Much could be made of our Old Testament scriptures about war if taken out of context also.

The Quran does call for fairness, justice, and kindness toward Jews and Christians, especially those who live peacefully and do not fight Muslims. It also, like every major scripture, contains verses tied to specific historical conflicts that people often pull out of context. That’s why interpretation matters as much as reading. So reducing Islam to “hate Jews and Christians” is just not an honest reading of the text.

As much as it is hard for me to admit, there are Muslims who genuinely hate Christians, not because Christians harmed them, but because they were taught that hostility somehow makes them more religious. And that is one of the darkest forms of indoctrination.
