@exquire

I love a good public policy but I'm also partial to vegetables and cute animals.

@MorganGodfery @JoshVanVeen Yes but Winston’s leverage is diminished to some degree compared with all the pre election hype.

Is there anything more condescending than Luxon repeatedly and smugly telling Hipkins to calm down and be respectful?

@BenUffindell Hello I'm running for Parliament and have rented this billboard only to put someone else's face and message on it. I'll leave my own name and party off. I am so good at my job.

@AotearoaSam Surely the election is the trigger, right? I'm uninstalling the app as soon as we're done with this topic.

Twitter without headlines defeats the main thing that gets me to open the app - I come fror the news, I stay for the views. Be excellent if NZ media could start migrating to the other place soon!

For the true Treasury cognoscenti the Financial Statements of the Government for 2023 were provided today. It provides the real and audited state of the Crowns accounts. They are largely as expected, but a few things may be of interest. A short thread...

@Tim_Batt They might tell their parents they voted that away just cos it's not worth the argument! But what you tick in the voting booth is up to you.

Crack up that the anti-Vote At 16 crowd is like "THEY'LL JUST VOTE FOR WHO THEIR PARENTS VOTE FOR" and then the news goes to a rest home and interview multiple pensioners who vote simply based on who their parents voted for.

Report on one of the roads that had speed limits reduced showed 34 crashes avoided in a year and journey times increase by 3.6 minutes. Over a year this equated to $93m in benefits for about 1.3m in costs. nzherald.co.nz/nz/politics/el…

@actuallosergal It's a dumb take - on these numbers votes could shift between Labour and Green and one of them would win. The only threat here is National - he should be going after those votes.
