@JnL_SSBM @emu_kidid 1) It's not possible to use the FlippyDrive and the disc drive at the same time. Their dumper alternates between them with a large buffer, and a full reset is involved for each read. 2) SD Gecko and SD2SP2 are already fast enough to not be a bottleneck for 95% of the dump.

@collingall @CattManii It is supported by PicoBoot.

@CattManii Yes you would need something to boot swiss for this to work, it's not currently supported by picoboot, so the best way to use something like this at the moment is with PicoLoader since that loads a copy of Swiss internally.

SD2SP1 proof of concept. Some limitations and downsides, but it does work. Might be helpful for folks with DOL-101 systems, or late model DOL-001 without SP2 ports.

@topvint @jiiiiV The DVD device won't show up. I'm not sure how this edge case can be addressed currently.

@jiiiiV Apart from the method to achieve loading of swiss (IPL Vs ODE), I don't quite understand what the difference in the end result is. I assume the IPL method will come before the disc gets involved. But if you load a disc from swiss maybe the PicoLoader will get triggered? 🤷

Got some PicoLoader flexes for testing. If it goes well, I will add it to my #GameCube modding services alongside the classic PicoBoot 😁

@modzvilleusa Given that it's a passive circuit, how does it perform better then an original SD2SP2? Do you mean like in usability, ie you don't have to flip the console over and take the flap off every time you want to grab the SD Card out?

It's a weird thing in between PicoBoot and Flippydrive and I absolutely love it. I think this is going to be the ultimate mod solution for GC. It's cheap and open source!

@Extrems According to the readme it's when using FlippyDrive with HW1. Is it only FlippyDrive or anything else too, like GC Loader, GC Viper, or WODE?

If you have a GC Loader HW1, Swiss v0.6r1695 to v0.6r1867 contain a footgun that can brick your device. Please cease using these releases immediately, especially without supervision.

@Extrems What is a footgun? GCLoader HW1. Is that the version that used a solder flex pcb? What if you run swiss from a different boot device and just use GCLoader as the ODE? Not certain about what is what in this alert.

@Extrems @emu_kidid I mean for the accuracy, read speed comparison, game compatibility, etc. and/or how useful or useless can be compared to SD2SP2 and/or Vs. FlippyDrive.
