And after voting that out too... 🇪🇺 ChatControl is back with a vengeance The Conservatives (EPP) are attempting to force a new vote TODAY (March 26) seeking to reverse the European Parliament's NO on indiscriminate scanning of ALL your private messages, emails and photos This is a direct attack on democracy and blatant disregard for your right to privacy If you're European contact your representatives now, with this handy form: #contact-tool" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">fightchatcontrol.eu/?foo=bar#conta… If not, please share this tweet so more people see it and we can block the vote It's crazy they keep just bringing back whatever they want until it's passed! Obviously now we see the European Commission is controlled by powerful evil lobbying groups 👺

Just a month later and... 🇪🇺 ChatControl is back! Now they're trying to pass an even more far reaching ChatControl law through the back door, in a form even more intrusive than the originally rejected plan, without needing any of the EU countries votes The new proposal: - total mandatory surveillance of ALL text chats, emails and social media in the EU - obligatory registration of your ID/passport to your chat, email or social media account - minimum age requirement for chat, email and social media apps of 16 (!) The only way to stop this law is if EU countries veto it Read more here by @echo_pbreyer: patrick-breyer.de/en/chat-contro…

a parenting lifehack: travel with your own portable car seat we have the maxi cosi nomad. it's super easy to carry, airlines allow it for free, and you don't have to rely on taxi companies or rent a cars giving you a car seat. in 99.9% of cases it will be a better seat than whatever garbage they are going to give you

Use less context when you have the proper skills. You need skills for: • SwiftUI • Modern Swift Concurrency • Liquid Glass • Apple HIG (Human Interface Guidelines) • Accessibility (So more people can use your app) • Figma or design tools The saved context will allow your agents to work faster and have less rework.
indy@indyfromoz

@PaulSolt SwiftUI skills for modern Swift concurrency best practices, Liquid Glass design, Apple HIG and accessibility. I have a bunch of skills for Figma and a few for Cloudflare. Helps a lot to keep the context small and achieves the rapid iterations I do in my dev workflow.

TIL what tmux is (yes, today) 🤦‍♂️ and also i learned that if u do -CC it natively integrates with iTerm so you can create splits/tabs etc with the native iTerm shortcuts this is perfect for remotely vibe coding into my mac studio so i can also close my laptop and the sessions won't die

i'm in a weird spot with openclaw. it's become so buggy that i basically can't rely on it to actually complete any tasks. but thanks to its memory, it's the best chat bot i've ever used by a long shot and arguably gives far better responses than anything else i could use.

Makefiles make it easy to setup custom build actions. You won't need Xcode to build and run Mac or iOS apps. It's really only needed for debugging.
Mohamed Afifi@mohamede1945

After one full day using the codex app… omg I'm in love It replaced my workflow 1:1, like @OpenAI folks sneaked into my workspace and watched me code. My old workflow: 1. run a command in codex (in Ghostty) 2. wait for codex to finish 3. open git, review changes, stage each approved hunk 4. switch to cursor/xcode to review the unstaged hunks and fix them myself Now (all inside the codex app): 1. run a command 2. codex replies 3. review diffs in the codex app 4. Leave comments --> Codex fixes it I no longer need to open cursor/xcode for this loop And the cherry on top: I added custom actions, so I can launch the ios simulator from the codex app

I’m saying goodbye to streaming. 2026 is the year pirating makes a comeback. I got 2 22TB external hard drives hooked up to my Mac Mini M4 Pro. Fully automated media server on my home network. Sonarr/Radarr → Prowlarr → NZBgeek ↓ Jellyfin ← Media ← SABnzbd ← Newshosting (usenet) • Jellyfin (8096) - Streaming • Sonarr (8989) - TV • Radarr (7878) - Movies • SABnzbd (8085) - Downloads Usenet only - SSL encrypted with no IP exposure or DMCA notices. Just go to media.local on any device on my network. Library: ~300 movies, ~400 TV series Only took the weekend to build out.

Europe is at a turning point. To secure prosperity, opportunity, and independence, we need energy that is clean, secure, reliable, and affordable. We need to harness all our home-grown, low-carbon energies — including nuclear. 1/3 🧵
