@IRCSS I know, i have the same Problems when noding fast, it was made for shader nodes where a few nodes constitute a tree, it was good for that. geonodes and interwoven subtrees not so much. File a Bug Report. Will likely be fixed.

@faaaaarck there are some stuff that doesnt get moved for some reason, like viewer nodes that are turned off, or floating frames that are next to it as comments. often zones are moved into frames though I cant figure out how exactly

The auto shift thing blender nodes have is a crime against humanity. I thought I turned it off, but here we are, you accidently droped a node on a line 5 minutes ago, and blender shifted 400 nodes in eachother. Absolute chaos, will take 30 minutes to clean up!

@Joey_Wittmann @shanedk Was probably a hard decission to make. I was glad for the foundation to get that money. Anthropic is on the other hand trying to democratize fields of arts and profiting of off it, rubbing people wrong, ignoring that tech enables. If they donated as much as they hate/divide..

@shanedk Kinda hope something else happened behind closed doors that changed the team's mind rather than pressure from the community but we may never know.

Things Blender MCP can do, with Claude or any other AI (even locally-downloaded): Cleaning up scene naming - Renaming all of the file's data blocks (tons of which probably have default names; we've all been there) so that it matches the contents, flagging any that might be misleading to the artist. Anti-AI neo-Luddites: "NOOOO!!! Rename them all yourselves or you're STEALING FROM ARTISTS!!!" Explaining node groups - Go through GeoNodes and organize them, explaining what each group does as the data flows through them, making sense of the spaghetti we all have made from time to time (seriously, the number of times Future Shane was flummoxed by what Past Shane was thinking...). Anti-AI neo-Luddites: "NOOOO!!! Leave it the confusing mess OR YOU'RE MAKING AI SLOP!!!" Optimizing - Finding the objects in the scene with the greatest poly budget relative to their screen space so you can easily identify and optimize your VRAM and rendering times. Anti-AI neo-Luddites: "NOOOO!!! Count the polys yourself individually or YOU'RE NOT A REAL ARTIST!!!" Fix my armature, find the bad normals, check for non-manifold meshes, find objects without materials, fix my typos, get rid of absolute paths... Anti-AI neo-Luddites: "NOOOO!!! We have to make sure Blender artists spend all their time doing this THEMSELVES!!! They don't get to spend their time on things that are actually CREATIVE!!!" Seriously, what is wrong with these people? And why are they all completely 100% ignorant of what the Add-on does and how it works? Because THEY'RE NOT HERE FOR BLENDER. They're here because someone posted a link in whatever Discord or Telegram group or wherever their backchannel propaganda group is, to come and try and take down AI whenever they can. This is astroturfing, plain and simple. PLEASE do not think these people speak for artists!
Shane Killian@shanedk

Gee. Now a wonderful open source project gets less funding because of you anti-AI assholes. And you claim to be FOR the artists??? YOU ARE NOT!!! Once again, you're only shown to be for the big content cartels against the smaller artists and open source projects.

@faaaaarck these kind of solutions bring a lot of problems if you want to do displacement or anything similar with unconnected ngons. Nothing is basically connected. Instead you should try to form quads or tris.

In pursuit of producing models that are open, steerable and capable of producing the full range of human expression, we created a new benchmark, RefusalBench, that tests a model’s willingness to be helpful in a variety of scenarios commonly disallowed by both closed and open models. Hermes 4 achieves SOTA against all popular closed and open models in conforming to your values, without censorship.

One nice thing you can do with an interactive world model, look down and see your footwear ... and if the model understands what puddles are. Genie 3 creation.

#Drohne #3D-Druck #Ingenieurskunst #Deutschland #DIY

@Deepneuron @elonmusk Yeah, eight times orbital refueling for only going to the moon. I hope they can do it, but the math is quiet clear that it is pretty hard. Roundtrip is far far off..
