@Geo_Rebs Hi! I know this is from years ago but we’re looking to change from Edexcel B to AQA GCSE Geography. Did you have to write a proposal to facilitate this change?

After a big curriculum rewrite and planned exam board change from Edexcel A to AQA GCSE Geography, my department have found ourselves with a unit/module ‘spare’ in our Y9 curriculum later in the year. Any recommendations for a new and exciting unit? 😃

Today’s project complete 💪 Remote learning booklets for GCSE Geography Edexcel B topic 2 and half of topic 3 🌍 Fully resourced with a mixture of new learning, exam questions and retrieval practice. Textbook pages to support as well as answers for self-marking/feedback 🤓

@Jennnnnn_x I had a horrible time with it last year. Physio, acupuncture, shockwave therapy (that was short term great), ugly shoes, insoles forever etc. Eventually had hideous steroid injections & bar my existing arch pain I feel like a new human. It’s the worst. I hope it resolves soon!

Anyone experienced plantar fasciitis? I'm really struggling and starting to get frustrated as doing everything I should be doing, bought expensive insoles, rested it and it's just so sporadic I'm losing hope of running 😭

Hi #edutwitter! Has anyone done any updated Russia/Ukraine & Israel/Palestine lessons within a KS3 Conflict SOW? Would love to get some inspiration to get it right! Thanks in advance!

@fiona_616 Yes I agree on the whole, I do think it’s important to give them context and feel like a tiny SOW would make it difficult to cover.

@fabidi88 I’ve avoided ongoing conflicts like these in our conflict SOW &instead look at other types of conflict. As ones you’ve mentioned are ongoing it can be difficult to stay current w/ resources &they have an ongoing affect on the students in the room so is very difficult to do well

@fabidi88 Students often don't have a strong grasp of where events are taking place, so a relatively safe way in is to teach some basic geography of these regions e.g. locational, main physical and human features. Then if appropriate, move on to discuss geopolitics esp if links to above.
