It’s only a matter of time… Governments will try to force KYC onto DeFi protocols like @Uniswap , @MinswapDEX , @orca_so etc Not because they can control the protocol (they can’t), but because they’ll go after front-ends, devs, and access points. The U.S. is already flirting with requiring DeFi front-ends to register with the SEC/CFTC. Europe’s MiCA wants to classify DEXes as VASPs. And those “optional KYC hooks” we saw in 2023? Yeah… some jurisdictions will try to make them mandatory. But here’s the truth: Real decentralization doesn’t bend to paperwork. Shut down one front-end and five more appear. It becomes a global cat-and-mouse game. So here’s the question: What happens when they try to turn DeFi into CeFi with extra steps? Does the community adapt… or revolt? Drop your thoughts. This debate will shape the next decade.

GM Cardano.. I just watched the clip of Charles saying that Cardano lost a lot of its loud voices and creators. And honestly… in Ada Frog‘s voice: “play stupid games, win stupid prizes”. I know I haven’t been here for ages like most, but I have made an observation when it comes to this content creator business. We’ve made it socially, financially, and emotionally exhausting to be visible in this ecosystem. The few people who showed up consistently, who explain, educate, document, argue, take the heat, and keep the momentum alive … get clowned, criticized, or accused of “grifting” the moment they asked for support. Meanwhile we love to throw funding at shiny tech experiments no one will ever use. A whitepaper drops and everyone is clapping like seals. But the creator who actually brings humans into the conversation… lol Suddenly we’re moral philosophers about how “content isn’t real work.” It’s wild. And yes , I want to say something about the hate. I’ve seen it. A lot of you have too. People tearing down Lily for nothing. I mean, what happened to simply scrolling past shit you don’t like? Creators being harassed simply for receiving Catalyst funds. We saw it happen with Pey. Serious question, what did that guy do to get all that hate from the community? I saw it happen and it is just disgusting. People implying that if you’re not writing Haskell or designing consensus layers you don’t deserve to eat. This ecosystem has convinced itself that only tech is valuable. Not marketing. Not education or outreach. Just… tech. Tech that sits in a vacuum with no users and no onboarding pipeline because we’ve chased away the people who actually speak to humans. And then we act confused about why the timeline feels silent. We didn’t just underfund creators. We disrespected the role of cultural labor entirely. If you’re still creating on Cardano right now.. genuinely thank you. A special shout out to you @Cryptofly777 . The folks at @FluidTokens have *already launched* a service called Aquarium, where you can create "fee tanks" to sponsor other people's transactions and let them pay fees in a token of their choice besides ADA. Just tried it. > Made a tiny 10 ADA tank with one token: SNEK 🐍 > Connected to it through Tokeo > Sent Snek to Begin, paying fee in only SNEK 🔗: aquarium-qa.fluidtokens.com So that worked. And they've apparently got ways to integrate this into anyone's dapp API. You could take this pretty far. Once there's wrapped BTC trading on Cardano, you could make big tanks for Bitcoiners so they don't need to touch ADA. That's very powerful for Bitcoin DeFi UX. In fact, Fluid's docs say they're working on a solution to " interact with Cardano dApps directly from Bitcoin and EVM wallets, thanks to cross-chain transactions to execute without the need to hold any ADA."
