@itsHemu2K @facegamefps Hemu, did you ever figure why that npcs line isn't always there? It's not in mine either. No idea why. I just loaded the game and ran the bench. I assume that's why that guy was saying you kicked the bots.

SignalRGB is one of the worst tools you can install on your PC if you play CS2 ‼️ SignalRGB On: 995.4 FPS, 278.3 FPS SignalRGB Off: 1083.1, 555.4 (🔼99%) Uninstalled: 1067.6, 569.7 (🔼104%) I thought @CapFrameX was bugging out, but the real culprit was this RGB software.

HWMonitor has introduced HotSpot Temperature sensors for Nvidia RTX50 series GPUs! Here is my Shunt Modded Watercooled RTX 5090 Frostbite using PTM and pulling over 900W from the wall sitting at around 68°C peak HotSpot temp after about a minute or 3DMark11 Loop. Delta between Normal Temp and HotSpot is about 17°C. That is actually a pretty impressive result, I expected it to be a bit worse. Feel free to post your results below, let us know how hot Your RTX50 is running.

@d0cTB @ghost_motley Almost need to add/remove cooling from the VRM to see which jumps up. I can't think of another way. Good work getting this out for us.

@ghost_motley We suspect one is the VRM hotspot and the other the GPU hotspot, but it’s still unclear which is which. 😅

Good news on the SSD front! If you’ve been waiting to jump to PCIe Gen 5, Samsung’s flagship 9100 PRO is now selling for nearly the same price as its older Gen 4 990 PRO predicessor. • Samsung 9100 PRO 1TB is now around $249 • Samsung 990 PRO 1TB is around $239 • Samsung 9100 PRO 2TB is now around $399 • Samsung 990 PRO 2TB is around $389 • For about a $10 difference, you’re getting Samsung’s flagship PCIe Gen 5 SSD with up to 14,700 MB/s sequential read speeds With SSD prices expected to remain unpredictable, this is one of the best Gen 5 values I’ve seen in a while. geni.us/rJ2mAF Note: This is an affiliate link, so I may earn a small commission if you buy through it at no extra cost to you.

@ghost_motley I found some stuff on the NWR Discord, but also not sure if it's the correct tool. I can't DM you on here apparently without premium access. Would like to see what you found. I've been passing what I found to Martin, the HWINFO developer.

@ghost_motley Yeah, we need to get that that tool out in the open so people can at least check the quality of their mount again like previous gens. F Nvidia...

So I've been reading up on this RTX 50 hotspot thing a little more. Apparently some repair channels and Discord servers have had a version of NVIDIA Modular Diagnostic Software (MODS) that shows the hotspot sensor for at least a few weeks. NVIDIA do not publicly make this software available, so it must have leaked from an OEM or AIB. It looks like it won't be possible for HWINFO or GPU-Z to add the RTX 50 hotspot sensor. This is because once you boot into Windows, the NVIDIA driver blocks access to the sensor. It is only blocked for RTX 50 cards, for RTX 40 and RTX 30 cards, the sensor is not blocked. The only reason MODS shows the temperature is because it's an official tool developed by NVIDIA that can bypass the driver restriction. I am not sure where you can acquire a clean, malware free version of NVIDIA MODS which supports the hotspot sensor on RTX 50, or how you use it. This would be a very welcome video or guide if someone is able to figure this out.

@ItsJustVV It still depends on whether reapplying thermal paste would void the warranty. the AMD side keeps saying it's fine to have a 105°C hotspot and G6 temps. Maybe Nvidia learned their lesson.

Rare wccftech good article. Nvidia disabling the Hotspot sensor showing in telemetry software for RTX 50 GPUs is a definite L for them, they should enable it ASAP. I don't expect them to do it though, they don't care. x.com/hms1193/status…

@yzonker @VideoCardz I have 1600W same psu and never seen it hot at all but now this makes me have seconds thoughts. I also rock taichi one and thermaltake 1650 new one but maybe I should get new one for 5090. Usually i keep them for a year or so and change

@facegamefps @VideoCardz I think they set the temp limit too high if the sensor is in the cable. Pins can be very hot before the cable really heats up. I think the WVP2 is a better solution with the temp sensor right on the little PCB that has the pins soldered to it.

id Software put out two mega hits with DOOM 2016 and Eternal. Gets bought by Microsoft. Puts out another well received game with The Dark Ages that underperforms, but still does better than the likes of South of Midnight and Hellblade etc. Those studios get to walk away independent, but id Software gets gutted. We don’t hate Xbox enough.

@yzonker @Duoae Well it also delivered lots of story and cinematics that didn't add anything to the game. I prefer the 2016 one which was pretty much all gameplay.

@Duoae In my opinion they fumbled hard their last Doom. Questionable gameplay choices, stupid plot/cinematics, and many people were not happy with the performance vs visuals ratio. And sales didn’t look very impressive apparently either.
