NVIDIA RTX 50 hotspot sensor is still accessible through internal MODS diagnostic tool videocardz.com/newz/nvidia-rt…

So I've been reading up on this RTX 50 hotspot thing a little more. Apparently some repair channels and Discord servers have had a version of NVIDIA Modular Diagnostic Software (MODS) that shows the hotspot sensor for at least a few weeks. NVIDIA do not publicly make this software available, so it must have leaked from an OEM or AIB. It looks like it won't be possible for HWINFO or GPU-Z to add the RTX 50 hotspot sensor. This is because once you boot into Windows, the NVIDIA driver blocks access to the sensor. It is only blocked for RTX 50 cards, for RTX 40 and RTX 30 cards, the sensor is not blocked. The only reason MODS shows the temperature is because it's an official tool developed by NVIDIA that can bypass the driver restriction. I am not sure where you can acquire a clean, malware free version of NVIDIA MODS which supports the hotspot sensor on RTX 50, or how you use it. This would be a very welcome video or guide if someone is able to figure this out.

I'm losing my mind what do you mean they fired the engine team? Microsoft doesn't see value in idTech? They want to fast track more DOOM, Quake and Wolf games, but they, allegedly, fired the engine team at id. What the fuck is going on
