Our back yard has fallen away in a landslide caused by a NYS DOT drainage creek overflowing and undermining the hill. We are receiving no help from any government agencies. Our neighbors were forced to evecuate their home permanently. The landslide has continued to get worse from this video. We need to press on Gates Police to release the name of the driver. People have the right to know. It's a reasonable request. This will not change the outcome of the investigation.

We're still getting a lot of calls/emails about this case. I checked in again with Gates PD chief today. He tells me they are still waiting on some car manufacture information and the final NYSP accident reconstruction report and will provide an update once that is complete.

Thank you Jennifer for the follow up on this deadly car accident in Gates a few weeks ago, where tragically, a baby was killed. The names of those in the car that was hit were released quickly. The name of the driver of the car that hit them, has never been released, not the age, the gender, and no possible reason for the accident. Generally, I understand waiting to make sure the all the i's are dotted and t's are crossed. But the way this has been handled is off, as though they are maybe protecting someone?
