If you’re just selling a couple of personal items at a “loss” or “breakeven” then it’s not taxable. Hope that helps and you understand what I’m saying. Otherwise every dollar paid to you on eBay is taxed. I thought the tax they charge the customer was covering the income tax but they are two separate taxes. So the customer has to pay a sales tax then we have to pay a tax on income. And not to mention, AFTER their devious eBay fees. eBay is a waste of time. Facebook marketplace would be a better route to sell your collectibles. It’s a free market that allows you to ship across country.

@fairvalueCo @packdrip @eBay Any way around paying the income tax? I read that as long as you’re under $20k a year or under 200 items, they don’t report it. I have a few items I want to sell, but I’m not paying “income tax” on selling old collectibles. I’m not a pro business, just an individual

eBay fucking sucks. I sold a Cooper Flagg Refractor for $176.50 and it says delivered but the buyer claims he never got it. eBay just issued a full refund, but I also will not receive my card back. This is the biggest load of bullshit ever.
