So many people talk about how wonderful it is when integration starts happening between alters. It is absolutely a great thing healing wise, but honestly sometimes it’s terrifying and overwhelming.

The trauma "freeze" response is not us being "afraid" & "letting" that fear determine our behavior. It's a psychological & behavioral reflex-- that is as confusing & infuriating to the survivor experiencing it as it is to anyone seeing it from the outside.

Processing 2020 wasn’t the hard part. What I am struggling to process is that we’re almost in 2025 and the majority of western society is so scared of processing 2020 they will deliberately pretend they live in 2019. The research keeps saying covid = bad news. We can mitigate it.

i know it's not extremely funny or anything but I do think it's a little funny when someone is like "I don't experience dissociation, I just have parts of my brain that exist to hold unprocessed pain and trauma I've experienced so I can function in everyday life"

people against researched self diagnosis are so annoying like first of all how do you think people pursue a diagnosis their doctor cant read their mind and second of all getting a diagnosis is a massive privilege there are so many reasons why someone would be unable to receive+
