Serious question. Anyone know any companies willing to run fiber to a home so I can have some faster uploads? Spectrum is terrible and they don’t have symmetrical uploads where I live yet. Would pay good money to run fiber.
Watching the radar evolution of the “snow hole” over Raleigh during today’s snowstorm has brought back some painful memories of mine as an undergrad met student at NC State in early January 2018.
History has a funny way of repeating itself sometimes
Haven’t looked at my phone in about 45 mins or so, but I can feel the tension building without looking at notifications. The snow is coming. The accumulating snow was always supposed to be in the PM hours in Columbia. We aren’t behind or ahead of schedule. You can see the snow making the pivot now & we will begin to be fully engulfed in a snowstorm.
Trust me, I’m sick of the dandruff flakes also. I’m way over it. But realistically this is exactly the way it was supposed to unfold for us.
I take it back: Sandhill/Raleigh Snowhounds are REALLY hugging the 12Z NAM. Can't wait to see the Bufkit number from this. Looks like some advection reaches the coast, though.
12z RRFS A and NAM 12km virtually unchanged from 06z runs.
its key during this timeframe to focus on models that are holding steady. If this look remains through 18z we might be cooking.
Literally all model guidance trending towards a big snow for the Carolinas... AI guidance & everything. Better energy gathering further West.
And then you got the Euro & EPS, which is trending East with the energy. Very odd.
@webberweather Any chance it shifts more west to the mountains? I’m near Cherokee and might wanna try to head out Saturday evening if it’s going to get bad.
Lol the European model is trending north on the East Coast storm this weekend after finally realizing that QG forcing actually exists.
Pepperidge Farm remembers when a lot of folks here said this north trend wouldn’t happen because the Euro said so 😂
So much for that!
How can you fly @Delta, they cancel your flight and offer to rebook you on a cheaper flight and you decline, they tell you your refund amount, send you a refund receipt, an only refund you 1/3 of what they told you. “Sorry a computer glitch gave the agent the wrong amount”
I hate the 14-inch MacBook.
It's a pain to work on it. It's only good for travelling.
The bigger screen on the 16-inch MacBook makes working so much more comfortable, since you have more space.
Can't believe how much difference can 2 inch make.
@immad@mercury Personal credit cards would be awesome - but obviously finding the right partner I get.
Sending Payments via RTP or Fednow.
On personal, auto transfer from savings to prevent returned items. (Or at least a 6 hour heads up that something will be returned if no funds added.
I’m proud to announce that I’m starting my own gaming studio dedicated to building a spiritual successor to the original Guitar Hero and Rock Band games. We’re calling it The Rhythm Company.

@emchaw@BrightspeedHelp Just got this.
Hi, this is Brightspeed. Your area is currently impacted by a network outage. The estimated time to resolve the issue is Wed, May 7 at 10AM.
If you have a service appointment that is part of the outage, it will be canceled shortly.
@BrightspeedHelp I have the app. It doesn’t show anything about an outage. Not sure why you can’t post about the outage when hundreds of customers are experiencing the outage and are looking for an update!
@famerdave Hi David, thanks for reaching out. Mercury accounts support recurring/scheduled transfers as well as auto transfers. You can learn more about all of these features in our Help Center: support.mercury.com/hc/en-us/artic…
@mercury is reoccurring transfers / scheduled transfers between accounts not possible, or am I just missing something? I feel even banks of old have this feature. (Aka move money from savings to checking monthly to cover a specific car payment)
