Interesting nuance to the new travel ban. It does not go into effect until January 1, 2026. If you have a chance to get your visa issued before then, move heaven and earth to make that happen.

My parents fled Iran to escape an authoritarian regime. I never thought I’d see the same tactics leveraged here in the United States. The Trump regime is using taxpayer dollars to gaslight Americans during its own shutdown. It’s abhorrent and it’s exactly what autocrats do: lie.

If Trump ordered State to quiz Iranian visa applicants about their religion & ethnicity, Americans would be outraged! Instead, workaround, he bans most Iranians but includes a minority exception, so Iranians now flooding State w/religion & ethnicity data. No one complains.🙄
