Nearly 1.5 years ago, I published a public letter about my health condition and requested expanded access to Deep Research in ChatGPT. (At the time, we had GPT-4.5 as the best model.) Few hours after, @farouke_ from OpenAI texted me and gave Pro access for 3 months. Few days after, @sama reached out to me and assigned Pro plan to my ChatGPT account which took effect after Farouk's expired. Yesterday, Pro 20x plan which I had since last year is expired and I subscribed to Plus. If I have to be honest, this feels like a huge downgrade. It was better than a dream to use Codex and GPT models at their peak capability without thinking about usage limits. I even got accepted to get scholarship from one of the top private universities in my country, all thanks to the projects I built with Codex. I want to thank to everyone that offered me to run prompts, or even purchase Pro for me, when I sent the quoted post. I am really grateful that good people still exist. From now on, I'll try to keep building with Plus, or subscribe to Pro 5x if my economy ever allows me to as a student. 😅 ❤️🫡

How do we think this will work in ChatGPT? We’ll see tomorrow if it can properly do it!

The migration tool in the Codex app now supports both Code and Cowork. There's never been a better time to switch.

I did not previously realize that GPT-5.5 is approximately 4x to 5x cheaper than Mythos. Natalia Coelho's excellent analysis of Mythos' capabilities based on publicly available information (linked in the quoted tweet) includes the below graph regarding the two models' performances on UK AISI's TLO benchmark. We already knew that GPT-5.5 performed slightly better on this benchmark than Mythos on average (although completely succeeding on it in only 2/10 attempts vs. 3/10 for Mythos), but it came as a surprise to me that GPT-5.5's attempts cost only ~$500 on average, compared to Mythos' ~$2.6K. If you are a hacker, you will not, ofc, care about the number of tokens your attack used. The only factor you *would* care about (maybe) is the cost. And I venture to guess that spending 500M tokens on GPT-5.5 vs. 100M tokens on Mythos would likely be a no-brainer (GPT-5.5 would win). From Noam Brown's tweet from a few days ago about GPT-5.5's performance on TLO (linked below): "After 100 million tokens, performance was still going up. What we're seeing here is not the capability ceiling."

Good analysis of Mythos benchmark performance by @natalia__coelho, including interesting points on benchmark contamination, which I think is underrated. pointestimate.substack.com/p/how-good-is-…

Biggest lesson from OpenClaw is that a good teammate doesn't start from scratch everytime you check in. They remember what was decided, what's still open, and proactively help you. Today we launched heartbeats in Codex: automations that maintain context inside a single thread over time. Instead of each run starting fresh, Codex wakes up in the same conversation, with the history and context it needs already in place. You can also have it schedule its own next steps – just ask Codex. Think about the overhead that quietly accumulates every morning: scanning Slack channels, catching up on email, piecing together what moved overnight. With a heartbeat, you offload that once, and wake up to a brief already waiting in a pinned thread. If you want to try turning Codex into a chief of staff: connect Slack, Gmail, and Notion, and paste the following prompt into codex: Please check @Slack @Gmail @Notion and write me a morning brief every weekday at 9am in this thread. I want you to collapse all the chaos at work into a single note every morning over some coffee ☕️

Today, we closed our latest funding round with $122 billion in committed capital at an $852B post-money valuation. The fastest way to expand AI’s benefits is to put useful intelligence in people’s hands early and let access compound globally. This funding gives us resources to lead at scale. openai.com/index/accelera…

Over the past months Codex has completely taken over how everyone works at @OpenAI. Technical teams use it for literally everything, and now that it’s easy to plug into all our tools, even non-technical teams like comms and sales are codexmaxing. Much more to come!

We're rolling out plugins in Codex. Codex now works seamlessly out of the box with the most important tools builders already use, like @SlackHQ, @Figma, @NotionHQ, @gmail, and more. developers.openai.com/codex/plugins

Since joining OpenAI, I’ve found myself getting pulled back into the Twitter universe. Turns out I made this account 8 years ago, so I figured it’s time to bring it back to life. Welcome! I’ll be posting and commenting on all things AI - and doing my best to stay out of everything else.

So. About @OpenAI. I've been bombarded by sales calls from rival LLM companies seeking some opportunistic business wins. That's fair game and business is a contact sport so I get it. And we were already evaluating backup providers as a hedge before the drama. But the reason we're sticking with OpenAI beyond just the fact that their models are excellent is because they made a commitment to @BeMyEyes before that was a sexy thing to do. They prioritized accessibility when no one was looking. And they got in the trench with us to build a great product we call Be My AI™ even though it's close to meaningless for them from a revenue perspective. Thank you @sama, @bradlightcap, @JessicaShieh, and the many others that helped us along the way. I'm not going to opine on the Board drama except for one thing: We are 100% behind OpenAI because they and their people are phenomenal - both technically and personally.
