It's a bit odd that FIA/F1 created some of the most complex regs to date, yet stripped two decimal places from the timing tower as if to make things appear simpler for the audience.

@Amank1412 thx for featuring, aman! I'm one of the creators of startups.rip 👋 we built it bc we think it's worth learning from past startup attempts. just bc an idea didn't work before, doesn't a remix of it won't now or in the future. lmk if you have any product feedback!

Someone built Startups.RIP a directory of 5,700+ failed YC startups with post mortems, deep analysis, and rebuild plans so you can revive dead ideas and turn them into new projects.

I’m starting to see AI coding slowly break the triple constraint of scope, time, and cost.

@rakyll If Chrome added support for TS directly, then Google could fast track TS adoption globally. Though I’m not sure if it’s a great idea or an absolutely terrible idea at this point…

Google is desperate for TS developers more than ever. TS is becoming the go-to language following Python for AI developers.

@levelsio Agree that the IPv6 format looks “ugly”. So what if we followed IPv4 style (0…255) but with 6 blocks instead of 4. So essentially something like 192.168.0.0.0.1 ? That should work out to 2^48 or some 281.5 trillion possible options. That hopefully should last us for a while…

IMHO one of the reasons IPv6 never took off for people at least is that it's so hard to type 2001:0db8:85a3:0000:0000:8a2e:0370:7334 Is very hard to type and remember 192.168.1.1 Is easy! I get IPv6 is made for machines more than people but still Maybe we should have went with seed phrase based IP like Horse Car Sheep Red Flash Mountain Much easier to use and type! IPvPhrase?

We’re like 15 years into IPv4 getting allegedly depleted, and most people still have never touched an IPv6. Firewall rules? v4. External netpen scope? Believe it or not, v4. Splunk monitoring rules? Only v4.

@pronskiy I’ve been using Cursor to generate the code. Then switch over to PHPStorm to do actual code reviews + edits. Maybe it’s because PHPStorm is a proper IDE with better tooling, keyboard shortcuts (double tap Shift!), plugins and even themes.

@laravelnews Possibly controversial, but I’d like to see some form of built-in support for compiling PHP scripts into a binary someday.

Way too many corporate buzzwords used in explaining Apple’s new design system youtu.be/DS2ildqCrB0 Had Grok make a graph of the excessive terms used along with frequency. Components and Framework are likely the only terms that are actually useful here.
