@SidneyPowellQ I doubt anything that happens at the federal Department of education affects classroom outcomes. I’m not even sure if your local district office has any effect on the learning process. At the end of the day, it’s teachers who teach, not bureaucrats. DOE is classroom theft.

@atlanticesque One of my pet ideas for a law is the federal government obligating cities that make a landlord keep a tenant who not paying rent has to pay that tenants rent for them. That would get a lot of tenant protection reform real quick.

Tenant protection laws hit these sorts of places hard. Apartment hotels only work when the landlord can come in with a couple of goons and throw your ass on the street as soon as you’re intolerably late on rent. Hampering the eviction process makes the math just stop working.

@DavidShuster Finland has a much better work ethic, they don’t have a taker to maker ratio issue like the states. That model would never work in the United States .

A permanent apartment is cheaper than chaos in the streets. By giving housing to all homeless, Finland saved money because of less crime/court cases and fewer ER visits. So never mind the morality of letting all people have a roof over their heads, it also makes economic sense
