Bulgaria heading for big change. Rumen Radev’s Progressive Bulgaria coalition smashing it with 44.5% — strong enough to form government alone. After years of chaos and 8 elections in 5 years, people are clearly fed up. Radev is Eurosceptic and not keen on pouring more money into Ukraine. This could be interesting.

In Bulgaria’s parliamentary elections, with 78% of the vote counted as of the morning of April 20, the Progressive Bulgaria coalition, led by former president Rumen Radev, is leading by a wide margin. The Progressive Bulgaria coalition has received about 44.5% of the vote. Such a strong result could allow the party to form a government on its own. Other parties are trailing significantly behind. Preliminary data indicate a strengthening of forces advocating for judicial reform and anti-corruption measures, which were the main demands of the protests in late 2025. These elections are the eighth parliamentary elections in the country over the past five years. They were called following mass protests in December 2025, triggered by economic instability and the transition to the euro. @Gerashchenko_en What Bulgaria has to offer EU and not Ukraine that they were given approval to EU membership many years ago and still they are pro-ruzzi.

@Reuters Interestingly they have taken Bulgaria into EU where still ppl are more inclined towards Russia and there are many hurdles for Ukraine where 99% population is pro-EU.
