While I was watching DS9 with oomf she was like "what is the lore reason for why they don't just kill off Dukat" and man I ask that question every episode. Dukat casually walks into ds9 like hey Sisko remember when this used to be my office during the occupation.

@ThemeParchive “Not counting partner hotels” is WILD. I don’t know if they still have the perk where you can get into the parks before non-hotel guests. But a few years back that did include partner hotels. No wonder it still felt crowded AF at rope drop anyway…

"WDW doesn't need a 5th gate." WDW has 20 resorts (w/ Lakeshore Lodge) for 4 parks (not counting partner hotels). DLR has 3 for 2 parks. DLP has 6 for 2 parks. TDL has 5 for 2 parks. DHK has 3 for 2 parks. DLS has 2 for 2 parks. WDW should have at least 6 gates by that math.

@Shuttlecock @ittakes2totoku I’m just starting season 3 as well but on a rewatch. Somehow this time around I appreciated way more of seasons 1 & 2 than I had before. Somehow genuinely good episodes and amazing character moments all throughout

Thanks! I’d heard that the first two seasons were rough but I honestly enjoyed them quite a bit. I guess because they’re so much better than the latter seasons of Discovery and Starfleet Academy. According to Grok, S5 is the best with S6 a close second and S3 is where things start to get good (as you said). Very hyped.

I’m a few eps into Season 3 in my first-time watch of Star Trek: The Next Generation and I miss her already.

Florida mosquitoes can carry dengue fever, malaria, yellow fever, West Nile virus, Zika, and other diseases. They’re ubiquitous, and mostly just a nuisance. But there’s always the possibility a bite could become a serious disease. This isn’t an exhaustive list, either.

A quick thread on scary Florida wildlife (aside from feral hogs & gators) for the curious: Florida has 6 venomous snakes. First three, in order of picture: cottonmouth (aka water moccasin)- statewide, dusky Pygmy rattlesnake- statewide, eastern diamondback rattlesnake- statewide

@bestofStarTrek Season 1 was middling at best. Season 2 unwatchable. Season 3 had amazing moments but still suffered from the set ups from seasons 1 and 2.

I really do enjoy that DS9 refuses to water down Garak by redeeming him. He's multifaceted and helps the federation out of love for Cardassia but he's never fully redeemed. Garak loves his fascist planet no matter what even when he's exiled from it.
