2/ After I visited the site and raised it directly with the council, action was finally taken. The waste has now been cleared, fencing installed, and the area fully boarded up and secured to prevent further dumping.

Before ➡️ After On Friday our teams cleared 3 tonnes of waste from a fly-tip on Mayfield Road, Thornton Heath, next to a children’s playground and allotments - roughly the amount an average household produces in three years. Our compliance officers examined the site on Thursday, and later that day police challenged fly-tippers who arrived in a hire van to dump more waste at the same spot - they were busted. This is rubbish dumped by criminals and left for Council tax payers to foot the bill. We take a zero-tolerance approach and those responsible will be prosecuted. 🫵👮
