@lodada2 @CrafterStevey @TheMisterEpicYT You've nothing to worry about, if your friends decide not to report you. Reports aren't automatic, a player needs to report them.

When they announced the original report system, we got almost 0 info for like 2 weeks. So, most of us including myself, looked at the next best thing, bedrocks reporting system. We weren't "drumming up fear", we were simply talking about the many issues with bedrocks system.

I was going to suggest adding clowns to Minecraft, but it turns out the game is already full of them

@johferson_ng @E_Pasto @anji191919 @thef1fthcolumn @Xilefian And other ways. I'm pretty sure there some smart ways to do this. Even with 3.5m active players the amount of valid reports would be very low. Something a human mod team could handle.

But you do have protocols in place to identify what's real. So you make tools to automatically do this instead of wasting human work hours. This is not bots. This is what data science is.

Yes, it's a private place, but the software and platform you're running on belongs to mojang. They have the rights to control how and why someone uses their software.

Just to recap where we are now with Minecraft Java Chat Reporting: - People were mad that pedophiles and racists were all over the place and that Mojang didn't care, then they got mad when Mojang tried to do something about it. (more to follow)
