@thelifeofalvo @sh_staci @canada_bear @merry123459 Depression is a mental illness. That excludes MAID from being considered (even if the subject asks for it) Let me tell you this also; There is no point of having a mind if it never gets educated or changes 😉 MAID is a worldview not a political one

A priest lying like this is disgusting. Doctors in Canada don’t offer MAID to patients w hip fractures or for anything of its kind. Why? Because it isn’t a terminal illness. It’s a stupid lie too but you need to consider the low IQ level spreading it. Just more MAGAt dumbfuckery.
Sachin Jose@Sachinettiyil

A 79-year-old Catholic priest, Fr. Larry Holland, who is recovering from a hip fracture at Vancouver General Hospital in Canada, said he was offered Medical Assistance in Dying (MAiD) twice by hospital staff, even though he made clear he is a Catholic priest and morally opposed to euthanasia. @merry123459 @dan_vanman It’s the new trend among the religious Maple MAGAs now. You have a headache and someone calls to offer you MAID 🙄🙄🙄 They really cannot wrap their brains around the fact that you have to ask for it and it’s for terminal illnesses

@merry123459 You are the one who’s lying. They offer MAID for the smallest inconveniences right now. And the government is expanding access NOT shrinking it!!!

I don't really watch much Futbol (aka soccer to us Americans). But the more I watch it, the more I like it. One of the main reasons is that it's continuous action without any breaks or commercial interruptions. Once you realize that, it's hard to unsee the countless commercials and breaks in between NBA, MLB, NFL, etc... Am I right or am I right?!

@WackNinja22 @emkenobi We all have functioning brains so know full well that, what we have, is universal healthcare paid for by taxes but free at the point of delivery. Same as every other developed country, except the USA. Keep paying taxes, insurance premiums and co-pays

@emkenobi Fun fact: Free Healthcare isn't free. And it also kills patients waiting 6 months to a year just to get an MRI. Canadians can keep their shitty medical care and shitty communist leaders. Quit your bitching.

Allow me to rock your world. America has about 6000 hospitals. 5121 of those are publicly accessible and 1224 are completely free. That's twice as many charity hospitals as Canada has Tim Horton's. Literally. Then, when you see a doctor, the doctor speaks English and went to school somewhere you've heard of. Harvard is not the only way to get educated, but it is nice in the fall. We don't push people into medically assisted suicide for cost reasons. We don't ask people with emergency conditions to sit in the ER for 10 hours before they see a doctor. So yes, if you have a cutting-edge disease and you go to a private hospital and get the best care in the world, you're on the hook for it. But note that you are also ALIVE.
Mark Slapinski@mark_slapinski

People say Canadian healthcare is not free, because we pay taxes for it. But in America, people pay taxes and still have to pay for healthcare out of their pockets. And if they are broke, the hospital tells them to go die.

@davepl1968 So 5121 hospitals that you pay nothing but your parking ticket exists in the US? Medical debt is a leading cause of personal bankruptcy in the U.S,over 66% of all bankruptcies are tied to medical issues. Approximately 530,000 families file for bankruptcy annually due to illness

@MuenzenMeister We have exactly the same problem in Canada with then percentages “suggested” much higher that these. Their wages here is closer to the European ones than the US. If I seat and get served I will tip, for a coffee or ice cream to go absolutely no. It’s an on purpose guilt trip

Guilt Tipping in Deutschland: War gerade Eis essen.
