i firmly believe everybody should read tokyo ghoul at least once in their life. not because it gives easy answers about right and wrong, but because of how deeply it understands warped morality, identity, alienation, and the way your relationship with the world can reshape who you are. it's my north star for a lot of things it’s hard to even put into words what this series means to me. the anime really butchered something special.
