Lancashire County Council and The Fed’s My Voice Holocaust Survivor Storyteller Project have launched a powerful new 𝐟𝐫𝐞𝐞 𝐏𝐒𝐇𝐄 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐜𝐞 for schools, using the real-life testimonies of Survivors who rebuilt their lives in the North West.
Rooted in stories of resilience, dignity, kindness and moral courage, the programme helps pupils explore antisemitism, prejudice, mutual respect, empathy and responsible citizenship.
Schools will receive age-tailored resource packs, electronic My Voice life‑story books, teacher support and access to a countywide travelling exhibition bringing Survivor stories directly into classrooms, libraries and community spaces.

“Our classrooms must be places where respect is learned and lived. This project turns the lived experiences of Survivors into practical lessons in empathy, critical thinking and moral courage. It helps pupils recognise difference as a strength and step up as allies for one another.”

This new partnership ensures that the lessons of the Holocaust - and the wisdom of those who survived it - are shared widely, helping shape a more respectful, united Lancashire.
