Looking forward to my first Kubecon and my colleague's talk about telemetry buffering on Android!

@akkogear The color seems to be lighter compared to the space gray mod007v2. Is that true or does it only appear so from the different lighting the pictures are taken in?

Quick update: this shit isn't mild, and I know a few other folks who experience the same. Must be a new strain. Fever up to 40.0*C (104*F), blood oxygen drops to 89% (88% usually means you go to ER). I am triple vaccinated with Pfizer. Stay safe and take the precautions! 🙌

Okay, after almost 3 years into the pandemic, my turn to get covid for the first time 🤦‍♂️ Am I the first to start #kcdcovid? 😅 Jokes aside, if you attended #kcdc #kcdc2022 and interacted with me - do a test. Sorry. Stay safe!

@xeraa @elastic Making updates more seamless or even automatic can help which is part of the reason why saas products are so successful. But auto updates comes with it’s own challenges, especially when it comes to clients/agents.

@xeraa @elastic Definitely agree. Encouraging users to update is a quite challenging but important task. You’ll have quite a sub optimal return on the engineering effort you put into a product if half of your user base doesn’t update.

@rafaelcodes @elastic What I like the most about the architecture is the simple mental model when writing instrumentations. Within a plugin, I can access types from the instrumented library and types from the agent by default.

@normanmaurer Given that IntelliJ already supports capturing profiles via flight recorder, it might actually be quite easy for them to adopt async-profiler 2.0 🤔

@felix_b Ideally I would like to update to 2.0-rc but as its an RC that may be too much to ask 🤷‍♂️

Is it somehow possible to configure #intellij to use a new version of async-profiler ? At the moment it uses 1.7 and I would like to use a newer one … Anyone ?

@normanmaurer Just realized you probably just want an update to 1.8, not 2.0-rc which releases today with some pretty cool features like multiple event type.

@normanmaurer It needs adjustments to the jfr file parser if that’s the output format used by IntelliJ. Async profiler 2.0 is using the 2.0 format of jfr that uses varints.
