I enlisted in the US Army at 18 years old. Honestly? I don’t think anyone should. The Army is exceptional at building soldiers. It is terrible at building civilians. And at 18, you don’t know which one you’ll need to be for the rest of your life.

Nobody tells you that leaving the military is its own kind of combat. No enemy. No mission. No unit. Just… civilians who don’t know what to do with you. And you don’t know what to do with yourself. It gets better. But damn, that transition is real.

No matter what, probably not the best time to be vagueposting on main.
