@countspongebob @mreferre Debits and credits are confusing - why should lines spent and written be any different. If every line of code is a long term liability, you don't get to list them as assets - unless, of course, you struck IPR gold

@mreferre YAML is not Turing complete. It isn't "code". The intent of declarative is to reduce cognitive load, and K8s shows that works, however snarky.... looking at you Massimo! :-) you might be about K8s. It is lines spent, but should be discounted heavily per the Dijkstra metric.

@fiberGeneva If that’s your primary design point then you aren’t building to innovate. You are building to CYA. A bit harsh but I think that’s a reality unfortunately. Innovation that leaps ahead focuses on what matters most to making a dent in the universe. But I do have a solve. 😏😏😏

I am heavily biased - but we must escape the #k8s development train. The future of cloud computing is about meaningful abstractions and purpose-built experiences, and #k8s is not that. It's a general purpose tool that keeps you infra. And the future of infra, is no-infra. 🤔

Tomorrow will be my last day at #VMware working on Tanzu. What a wonderful journey. Am so proud of the work the team has done and believe deeply in the Tanzu vision. After nearly 6 years of all-in work, it is (past) time for me to reconnect with my family.

All of my marketing friends here know we would never abandon a core serverless tenet like "scale to zero". We would switch to Celsius... done...Marketing elegance

Dearest Tech Twitter: Your help humbly requested. I have a friend who's graduating with a M.S. in CS with an emphasis in AI, but they don't have the job title 'Software Eng' on their resume - any tips for them to achieve their goal of developing complex hard & software systems?

@beccaodelay Me!! I am hiring. Building a cloud venture and would love to connect to folks who want to put their skills to test. AI work will be limited in the early days, however.
