@fieldworkssa Aaron…are you sure it’s not just a gap in the paddock where you normally construct your “salad compromised” lunch fire. I have seen you do it so well before !

The old “We should’ve gone further” line came out yesterday. This is a paddock we spaded a couple of years ago and you can see exactly where we lifted out the ground. We have just finished a Job on southern Yorke peninsula if you need some done down this way.

@nigehart25 Yeah you’re right. These guys have done most of the Sandhills on the farm now. Just have to go do some touch ups by the look.

@bjbatman I have only had experience up to 4 years out but its still good in those areas. This farmer returned his investment last year on this area.

@fieldworkssa How many years will it continue to wetter up for like that?

I went and looked at a site that we spader sowed last year on the area we thought was bad. Should of gone further. Again!

Jumped in the header with a farmer that I did some spading for last year sowing barley. This year it is lentils and we are pretty impressed with the difference.

Houston, I think I’ve solved our problem. The highly alkaline soils of the YP are becoming alkaline no more. Ground truthing poor performing Chickpeas has uncovered some unwanted issues. Fortunately, they can be remedied. Lime me up Scotty. 🤔
