Even though the buck still stops with the president, the American people suffer (and bear the casualties), all while the architects of the policy land softly in think tanks, boardrooms, and lobbying firms. Trump is making sure US don’t repeat the disasters of Afghanistan, Iraq, and Libya. If US learned just one single lesson from Iraq and Afghanistan, it should be this: no more sudden regime falls. When a regime collapses overnight without any plan, it creates a dangerous power vacuum , and that vacuum always gets filled by much worse, more violent, and more opportunistic forces. Look at Afghanistan in 2021. Biden pulled out the American troops suddenly, with no real plan. The Afghan government collapsed in just a few days, the Taliban took over immediately, and now in 2026, millions of girls and women still can’t go to school. They’ve literally been thrown back to the Stone Age. In Iraq, after they removed Saddam and did de-Baathification, the Shia groups, many of them supported by money from the ayatollah, rushed in, and Iraq ended up with endless sectarian war and chaos. Right now in Iran, there are already many brutal, power-hungry groups waiting for the regime to fall so they can quickly grab control. In these situations, it’s not about who has more people, it’s about who is willing to be more violent. Even a small but extremely ruthless group can take over the entire vacuum. If the Islamic regime collapses suddenly, Iran could break into pieces. Every region might fall into the hands of different terrorist or militant groups. It would be exactly like Libya, where after Gaddafi fell, the country became such a nightmare that many Libyans now actually miss the old days. Trump clearly cares about the consequences and the future outcome in Iran. That’s why he’s keeping the pressure on, to control what happens next and avoid total chaos. The dream that we go to sleep one night and wake up the next day with the Shah back on the throne is a childish and naive fantasy. The real world works through compromises and trade-offs. A transition like this will take several months if not years, but it is the only realistic path to a stable and lasting peace، not just for Iran, but for the entire region and the world. Iran had multiple chances to deal with Donald Trump. My worry since his first term was that he might accept a flawed agreement. All the regime had to do was be patient: deal now, wait until 2029, then move freely after he leaves. Instead, it chose “resistance.” At this rate, it will resist until the Islamic Republic collapses—and Iran is free.

I'm that voting block. I attended 42 rallies, I was a Front Row Joe, 3 times I walked the hall of congress for Trump, became a state delegate, then a national delegate all to show support for Trump. Today, I find him repulsive and it began when he said "are we still talking about Epstein".

If Iran squeezes the rest of the world, Trump will come and say, “Give the US $50 billion, and I will send ground troops and free the Strait!” Don’t forget that Trump has sent thousands of Marines, paratroopers, Navy Seals, Army rangers, amphibious assault ships to the region. The art of the deal. Trump quite literally will win the war in Iran. He will open the strait of Hormuz. Oil will be sold by the U.S. across the world. France and the U.K. Have likely made a very bad decision in not helping the U.S. in Iran. The Middle East will create new alliances. I think NATO will be disrupted in a very big way when the U.S. makes a new change to their portion of the alliance. New trade deals will cut out France, Spain and U.K. over the coming months. This is wild to see.

In terms of national security, closing the Straight of Hormuz doesn’t affect us much. We are energy independent and don’t buy much at all from that source. But Iran’s Hormuz shenanigans have been able to affect global pricing. So we are affected. But I think that changes for ever…soon.

Just spent over $110 to fill up my gas tank. Took two separate sessions because Sam’s Club pumps stop at $100 and then you have to start all over again. But hey, at least we’re also mired in another Middle East war. Nothing better than Joe Biden’s inflation combined with George W. Bush’s foreign policy.
