@filthyfili @salisberrysteak @ObyTrice412 We’ve been looking for a 1C since G and passed. Who really knows
English

@theMFingIcon @salisberrysteak @ObyTrice412 I said “likely” for a reason but you ain’t wrong
That being said, Boston boy, a center on a team that’s been looking for a 1C ever since Bergeron retired. I’d bet a good amount of money on it
In fact there were rumours at the time about Boston wanting to move up for him
English

@salisberrysteak @filthyfili @ObyTrice412 I will say this tho. Who says Boston takes hagens if Martone is there? That we’ll never know.
English

@tolear1158 @UKhoops1_BBN @CharlieBorgesJr Sounds to me like you should do better in regulation rather than relying on Mickey Mouse hockey like the shitty team you are
English

Hockeyy Insiderr@HockeyyInsiderr
The overtime/SO loss in the NHL is a funny rule. The @penguins have 16 loser points; 37 wins and 37 losses and will comfortably make the playoffs. The @NJDevils have 2 loser points ; 38 wins and 35 losses and have already been eliminated from playoff contention. The @GoldenKnights have 16 loser points; 33 wins and 42 losses and will comfortably make the playoffs. The @NHLBruins have 8 loser points ; 42 wins and 32 losses and currently in a dog fight to make the playoffs 50-50 chance. Is the @nhl REALLY putting the best product forward? Or is there a way to make the Stanley cup playoffs even MORE competitive?
QME

@tolear1158 @UKhoops1_BBN @CharlieBorgesJr If an OT/SO loss was a win it would be worth the same amount of points but it’s not
In fact the biggest problem with the NHL point system is a Mickey Mouse win being worth the same as a regulation win
3-2-1-0 is the ideal point system
English

@filthyfili @UKhoops1_BBN @CharlieBorgesJr So a loss is a win in your book? The ad hominem argument just proves where this leans
English

@tolear1158 @UKhoops1_BBN @CharlieBorgesJr I’ll even help you
The NHL, CHL, KHL, etc reduce the amount of players. The MLB, NFL and NBA do not
The NHL, CHL, KHL, etc go to a shootout after 1 OT period. MLB and NBA have continuous OT/innings
The NHL, CHL, KHL, etc never ends in ties. NFL does
So which are more similar?
English

@tolear1158 @UKhoops1_BBN @CharlieBorgesJr Again, you did not
You have yet to explain how any of those leagues OT formats are more similar to the NHL than leagues like the KHL, OHL, NCAA, etc
Still waiting my guy
English

We’re gonna cry over Bump now? I’m not even a Tocchet guy but this dude can’t win lol.
Teams won 6/7. In the thick of a playoff race. Top prospect playing PP1. Big body for around goal. Michkov producing.
Somehow people can only think to bitch about Bump. It’s made being on here insufferable.
English

@ObyTrice412 Also if the Flyers do end up with O’Brien gotta question if they trade up for Nesbitt, but too many potential alternatives there to really make that comparison
English

@ObyTrice412 Cutter is not a center and Zegras was added to potentially address the center position so not sure how those two are related
Not to mention it made us more likely to take Buium over Luchanko
Gauthier/Buium/O’Brien vs Drysdale/Luchanko/Martone is the actual question
English

@theMFingIcon @salisberrysteak @ObyTrice412 Per Evolving Hockey, the difference between Cutter and Drysdale last year was 3 standings points
Would’ve given us the 8th pick
Boston likely still takes Hagens
Then it’s a matter of if Seattle still takes O’Brien or if they take Martone
English

@salisberrysteak @ObyTrice412 If we never make that cutter deal it’d more likely we finish 10-14 worst last year and not 4-6 worst
English

@tolear1158 @UKhoops1_BBN @CharlieBorgesJr Except you haven’t
You compared the popularity of the leagues, not the OT formats
Still waiting on the latter my guy. Or are you finally realizing how dumb you sound?
English

@tolear1158 @UKhoops1_BBN @CharlieBorgesJr Yes losing in a Mickey Mouse hockey format shouldn’t prevent a team from making the playoffs, hence the extra point
You’re so close to understanding how your team is poverty
English

@filthyfili @UKhoops1_BBN @CharlieBorgesJr Thank you for finally agreeing with me, shooting and ot losses shouldn’t mean anything, therefore are the same as a regular loss! Glad we agree
English

@tolear1158 @UKhoops1_BBN @CharlieBorgesJr Regulation wins/losses tell a true story
Shootout and 3v3 OT wins/losses don’t
If the latter was truly a way to crown the better team, then why doesn’t the NHL use it in the playoffs and instead elect for continuous 5v5 OT? Are we not deciding games properly in the playoffs?
English

@filthyfili @UKhoops1_BBN @CharlieBorgesJr Actually points really don’t mean anything when one team gets a participation point just for being in a game. Win percentage tells the true story… Imagine being upset because your team got a participation award and someone called it out 😂
English

@tolear1158 @UKhoops1_BBN @CharlieBorgesJr Also notice how you completely ignored the other tweet and have yet to show me how the OTs in the other sports are more similar to the NHL than the OTs in the other hockey leagues
Still waiting my guy
English

@tolear1158 @UKhoops1_BBN @CharlieBorgesJr Either you weren’t aware that other leagues use different point systems thus exposing your lack of hockey knowledge
Or you were aware and somehow claimed they copied the NHL despite a different system, thus exposing your lack of overall IQ
Either way, doesn’t bode well for you
English

@tolear1158 @UKhoops1_BBN @CharlieBorgesJr Also you say they copy the NHL when many of those leagues (plus the IIHF) use the 3-2-1-0 system, which keeps the loser point and puts even more emphasis on regulation wins
Plus the NHL wasn’t even the first league to use the 3v3 OT format
You just keep exposing yourself my guy
English

@tolear1158 @UKhoops1_BBN @CharlieBorgesJr Did you really just say non hockey leagues are more comparable to the National HOCKEY League than other hockey leagues lmaooooo
Please inform me how the OT in those other leagues is more similar than the OT in the hockey leagues, I’ll wait
English

@tolear1158 @UKhoops1_BBN @CharlieBorgesJr More points = better team, hence why the Penguins are much higher in the standings
Keep crying about your team being poverty 😭😭😭
English

@filthyfili @UKhoops1_BBN @cj225devs @CharlieBorgesJr I agree that the Devils have a higher win percentage than the Penguins! More wins=Better Team
English

@tolear1158 @UKhoops1_BBN @cj225devs @CharlieBorgesJr @DevRickus Last I checked, the league goes by points
Do you agree the Penguins have a higher points percentage than the Devils?
Maybe if your Devils were good at anything outside of Mickey Mouse hockey, they’d be in the playoffs
English

@filthyfili @UKhoops1_BBN @cj225devs @CharlieBorgesJr @DevRickus Do you agree the devils have a higher win percentage than the penguins? Yes or no?
English

@tolear1158 @UKhoops1_BBN @cj225devs @CharlieBorgesJr @DevRickus There’s also a reason you had to go look for other sports btw
The KHL, SHL, CHL, NCAA, etc, all hockey leagues that are actual equivalents to the NHL with their OT formats actually do hand out a point if you lose in the Mickey Mouse format
English

@tolear1158 @UKhoops1_BBN @cj225devs @CharlieBorgesJr @DevRickus The NFL is not first score wins and they keep the same amount of players. Time is not the issue in the NHL so the NBA (who keeps the same amount of players and has multiple OTs if needed) ain’t a good example. The MLB still has 9 fielders and 1 batter
None of them are equivalent
English
