🚨 The White House announced on Friday the composition of the Executive Board for the Gaza Board of Peace - the international body that will oversee the activities of the new Palestinian technocratic government in the enclave, as well as the process of Gaza’s reconstruction and demilitarization. 🕊️ The Executive Board will operate under the Board of Peace, which will be chaired by President Trump and include heads of state and government. The executive board will work under the board of peace and above the Palestinian technocratic government. 🧑‍💼 Former UN envoy Nickolay Mladenov will serve as the Board of Peace “High Representative” for Gaza — effectively the CEO. Mladenov will report to an international Executive Board, whose members are: 🇺🇸 White House envoy Steve Witkoff; 🇺🇸 President Trump’s senior adviser and son-in-law Jared Kushner; 🇹🇷 Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan; 🇶🇦 Qatari minister Ali Al-Thawadi; 🇪🇬 Egyptian intelligence chief General Hassan Rashad; 🇬🇧 Former British Prime Minister Tony Blair; 💰 Billionaire businessman Marc Rowan; 🇦🇪 UAE Minister of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Reem Al-Hashimy; 🇮🇱 Israeli-Cypriot real estate tycoon Yakir Gabay; 🇺🇳 Former UN Gaza envoy Sigrid Kaag. 🚨 “Each member of the Executive Board will be responsible for a defined portfolio critical to stabilizing Gaza, including governance capacity-building, regional relations, reconstruction, investment attraction, large-scale funding, and capital mobilization,” the White House said. 🇶🇦🇹🇷🇦🇪 The composition of the Executive Board indicates that Turkey and Qatar will continue to be influential and involved in Gaza, despite Israel’s reservations. The United Arab Emirates is also represented on the Board - an issue that had not been finalized for many months. 🇺🇸 The White House announced that two close advisers to Jared Kushner - Aryeh Lightstone, who has served as Kushner’s representative in Israel in recent months, and Josh Gruenbaum, who authored the Gaza reconstruction plan - will serve as “senior advisers to the Board of Peace” 🔵 According to the White House, they will lead strategy and day-to-day operations and “translate the Council’s mandate and diplomatic priorities into disciplined execution.” 🪖🇺🇸 U.S. General Jasper Jeffers has been appointed commander of the International Stabilization Force in Gaza. 🚨 Jeffers will oversee all security matters related to the Palestinian technocratic government, assist in efforts to demilitarize the Gaza Strip, and supervise the safe transfer of humanitarian aid and reconstruction materials to ensure they do not fall into Hamas' hands

🇻🇪 MULTIPLE EXPLOSIONS REPORTED IN CARACAS, VENEZUELA Residents across Caracas reported loud explosions, low-flying aircraft, and siren-like alarms in the early hours of January 3rd at 2:00 AM local time. Videos circulating on social media show flashes and smoke columns at multiple locations across the Venezuelan capital, with blasts strong enough to shake windows and cause brief power outages in areas including 23 de Enero and near La Carlota airbase. Targets could include military sites like La Carlota or near Miraflores Palace, with explosions visible at at least six locations.
