Delighted to say that the mentorship bench is deep @WakeGeriatrics @wakeforestmed @wakehealth. How rare is it to have access to an amazing researcher, journal editor, and a former dean all in one?
Wake Forest Geriatric Medicine@WakeGeriatrics

Reason number 4 to choose ⁦@wakeforestmed⁩ for your Geri fellowship: you’re familiar with JAGS? The editor, Bill Applegate, is here! Seeing clinic patients, coaching fellows, attending on ACE and mentoring at journal club! #legend #geriatrics #match2021 #DontSleepOnWake

@laure_wynants 3) literally omit the hard comments from response letter and hope reviewer simply forgets about them

How to make a reviewer angry: 1) agree that comments are insightful and relevant, and express gratitude for providing them in a structured, well-formulated way and positive tone 2) fix only the easy stuff.

Well done Ohio. This is a great example of the power of social distancing.

@BeaGPerezNievas Absolutely beautiful. Has anyone created a course yet called “neuroscience (art) appreciation”?

I can't speak for House, obviously - no one's written clever words for me to say - but I'm pretty sure he'd tell you it's not a matter of 'solving' Covid. This is an epidemic, not a diagnostic problem. We solve it together by staying apart.

16/ I told my team on rounds later that day: "If you stay with someone long enough, you'll always find a place where you intersect. Always." No-- I don't like the sight of sagging jeans. At all. And honestly? I'm not a huge fan of gold fronts either. Nope.

1/ I was walking into Grady one day after lunch and saw 3 young black men standing outside near the entrance. They were laughing and talking in animated voices. The easy, melodic African American vernacular they used was familiar. Some profanity was interspersed. I drew closer.

@edsbs Great thread. What boggles my mind is how so many people have been to Jacksonville.

I agree with ⁦@10percent⁩ on this. I look forward to the less sentimental, more haggard edition when the child is 3 1/2 and siblings are vying for time. That’s when mindfulness practice really gets interesting. tenpercent.com/meditationweek…

@BiswapriyaMisra Are they matched on any criteria? Regardless, good study design reverses the matching ratio...case:control at 1:2, 1:4, etc.
