@whoistife_x The standard is a DEXA scan, you should get one at least once a year. They are around $75. Really helpful seeing lean mass, body fat, and where all it is located – lots of valuable information

I had some good news today. Yesterday I had a DEXA scan at the Royal London to check on my osteoporosis, which was diagnosed 3 years ago. The scan showed that it has disappeared from my spine, and more or less entirely from my hip. This is thanks to an annual infusion of Alendronate and doing weights at the gym. Huge thanks to my consultant, Ali Jawad, at the Mile End Hospital for taking me on this journey.

Was really excited when my trainer @coachrffitness suggested I get a DEXA scan to help track progress from my fitness routine - I absolutely love having health goals and having a baseline is exactly what I need to reach them ✨ It is so cool to get so much data, from bone density to body fat percentage to lean muscle mass (this one in the video is just an example demo from their website) - had such a good experience at @bodyspec San Francisco, can’t wait to see what my numbers look like after another 6 months of training!

How we use body composition in baseball nutrition coaching ⬇️ When athletes begin working with me, we establish a baseline with: ✔️ DEXA scan ✔️ Comprehensive labs We then retest at 4–6 months to assess progress. What is measured is well-managed. Many athletes and parents don’t actually know what a healthy, performance-supportive body-fat range looks like for baseball. ⚾️Typical Body-Fat Ranges for Male Baseball Athletes (18–22 YO) Optimal performance range (most positions): ☑️ 8–14% body fat Position-specific tendencies (not strict rules): ☑️ Middle infielders / Outfielders: 8–12% (speed, agility, repeat sprint ability) ☑️ Catchers / Corner infielders / Pitchers: 10–16% (strength, power, durability) What matters more than the number How the athlete feels, performs, and recovers always outweighs a single data point. Baseball is a power-dominant sport. Muscle mass, strength, and recovery matter far more than being “lean.” When body fat is too low (<7–8%) ⬇️ Increased injury risk ⬇️ Hormonal disruption ⬇️ Poor recovery and sleep ⬇️ Loss of power late in the season When body fat is too high (>16–18%) ⬇️ Reduced speed and acceleration ⬇️ Poor conditioning ⬇️ Lower heat tolerance What I look for clinically (not just %BF or scale weight): ☑️ Consistent strength and velocity ☑️ Stable energy across practices and games ☑️ Quality sleep and recovery ☑️ No chronic soreness or nagging injuries ☑️ Ability to maintain body composition in-season not just preseason I’ve had multiple baseball athletes add weight, gain muscle, and even increase body fat slightly—and report better recovery, improved sleep, and stronger performance. A stronger, healthier, better-recovered athlete at 10–12% will outperform an under-fueled athlete at 6% every time. 👉 Fuel outcomes not aesthetics. 👉 Don’t chase numbers. Chase performance.

Week 4 Follistatin FLGR242 Results | Updated DEXA Scan (REAL DATA) Today marks 4 weeks since I began my Follistatin FLGR242 protocol, using a half dose split across weekly injections — and I’m sharing updated DEXA scan results to objectively track progress. Follistatin FLGR242 is a myostatin inhibitor, meaning it targets the biological “brake” that limits muscle growth. I’ll be tracking results every 4 weeks to chart changes in lean mass, body fat, and visceral fat over time. I’m only using 1.25 mg weekly — far below standard dosing — and the results are already impressive. 📈 My Results (4 Weeks): • Age: 49 • Bodyweight: 168 lbs • Lean Mass: 145.8 → 147.5 lbs • Net Gain: +1.7 lbs • Body Fat: 8.5% → 7.8% • Visceral Fat: 0.36 → 0.09 That’s 1.7 lbs of lean muscle in just 4 weeks, alongside drops in body fat and visceral fat. Under normal circumstances, these results would take 6–12 months — not 4 weeks. I’ll be back with Week 8 and Week 12 updates so you can see what’s possible when protocols are done correctly. A lot of people asked about the recommended FLGR242 cycling protocol recommended by Jay Campbell Founder of BLL and Chemist Mike Farber creator of FLGR242, so here it is 👇 Standard Year-Round Strategy (MEN): ✅ Weeks 1–12: • 5 mg every 2 weeks (= 2.5 mg weekly) ✅ Weeks 13–24: • 5 mg every week Split into 2 injections: • Tuesday: 2.5 mg • Friday: 2.5 mg ✅ Weeks 25–36 (Advanced Muscle Gain Phase): • Up to 10 mg per week (2 shots of 5 mg weekly) ⏸ After 36 weeks straight, it’s recommended to take 6–8 weeks off to allow receptors to reset naturally. ⚠️ For context: I’m only using 1.25 mg weekly, which makes these Week 4 results even more impressive.
