I used Google Cloud on a $300 free trial just to experiment and made 3–4 AI videos. After 5–6 days, my account stopped and I saw a negative balance of ₹51,164. No warning, no notice. I contacted support and told them it was a mistake and I am just a student experimenting, but they said I have to pay or the case will go to a recovery agency. After many emails, they waived 90%. Now they want ₹5,164 and have transferred my case to an American recovery agency. Has this happened to anyone else? What would you do in my place?

Sometimes you complain about ChatGPT being too restrictive, and then in cases like this you claim it's too relaxed. Almost a billion people use it and some of them may be in very fragile mental states. We will continue to do our best to get this right and we feel huge responsibility to do the best we can, but these are tragic and complicated situations that deserve to be treated with respect. It is genuinely hard; we need to protect vulnerable users, while also making sure our guardrails still allow all of our users to benefit from our tools. Apparently more than 50 people have died from crashes related to Autopilot.
