It’s impossible to be at the Rafah crossing & not feel heartbroken.
Behind these walls there are 2 million people in Gaza with no water, food, medicine, fuel.
On this side, these trucks have what they need.
We need to make them move—as soon as possible, as many as necessary.

Beginning to see reports of roads around Glenrothes being flooded and at least one blocked by a fallen tree. We may be just outside the full Red Warning area but an Amber Warning is still serious. Please think very carefully about whether your journey is necessary.

@DaniGaravelli1 Aw. I'm having the exact same experience, somewhat fuelled by a recent trip to stay with her Grandparents, my youngest is now an avid tea drinker and has insisted we take it in turns to make a cuppa.

For all my adult life, no-one except me in my house has drunk tea. Now my youngest has started and it’s such a lovely novelty, I find myself saying: “Shall I just stick the kettle on?” and “Do you fancy another wee cuppa?” about 20 times a day.

It must be noted when covering this that Israel carried out these air strikes on an evacuation route it said was safe for civilians to use. This is proof that Israel is purposefully targeting civilians, as it always has. I cannot believe this needs to be explained.

I think of disabled people in conflicts. There are people in Gaza right now who need electricity to breathe or move. There are people who physically can’t make the long arduous journey to possible safety. Telling disabled people “24 hours to leave” is telling them to die.

I also met with Palestinian leaders from different faiths today. They want peace & they want the life of a Palestinian to be equal to the life of an Israeli.
I gave them my assurance that @scotgov will continue to call for a ceasefire and a humanitarian corridor to be opened.

Rest in Power Reuters cameraman and journalist, Issam Abdullah, killed in the last hour by Israeli bombing in the south of Lebanon. He was surrounded by cameras & other journalists, wearing press vests, who have also been injured. Is this Israeli self-defence too?!
