Renewable-powered desalination is vital to meet the water needs in the UAE and Gulf. Any harm to the desalination infrastructure threatens water security and carbon-cutting efforts. I stand in solidarity with the UAE in advancing energy security alongside sustainable development.

1/The Iran conflict will inevitably drive investment in renewables; essential to energy security & represent the cheapest power sources. Renewables benefit the economy & environment, providing the most effective defence against the leveraging of energy markets for strategic ends.
