My next #cancer surgery is Tuesday, friends. The ambulance picks me up at 7am. Surgery at 9am. Requesting lots of prayers, positive thoughts and healing energy. Hoping my surgeon can get enough of this cancer out of me so that I am less sick because it has been pure hell.

Joe Biden came out of retirement to save us from trump. He beat an incumbent president, flipped red states and senate seats, pass a bunch of progressive legislation and stopped a red wave midterm; and as repayment, his party ran him out of office, repeatedly stabbed him in the back and is continuing to do so all because he won’t sacrifice his only remaining son to a regime hellbent on driving him to suicide. The Hunter Biden pardon was a mistake. I sympathize with a father's love, especially in a family that has experienced so much personal tragedy. I also understand the legal arguments in favor of a pardon. But Presidential pardons are never judged solely on the merits of the case, particularly when it involves a family member. Presidents hold enormous power and responsibility and must be held to a higher standard. They must instill trust and promote the American people's faith in their democracy. And right now, upholding the fabric of our democracy is one of our most important tasks.
