Nothing beats High School Basketball in a community Doesn’t matter that there aren’t 5 stars or players ripping the rims off out there People show up and care at a high level and it’s beautiful 😍 (Via @CovillNathan 🎥)

Who will be the 1st two way contract @NBA player with full @NCAA eligibility left to leave an NBA franchise to enroll in College and play for a significant salary increase and have numerous years to play? Drafted or not. It makes no difference. It’s coming. Nnaji was in KAT trade

My son is a freshman swimmer at Jeffersonville High School. They had an e-learning day today but waited until noon to decide whether they could have practices/games tonight. Decided it was safe to have practice starting at 3 p.m. See how easy that is?

High school coaches often say their freshmen don’t understand defense. A big reason: youth programs lean on zone. I’m not entirely anti-zone — but most youth zones lack an understanding on rotations, ball pressure, and defensive fundamentals. They end up playing zone because it’s easier…and players pay the price later. If your team struggles defensively, you don’t need to play man and lose every game by 40 — but make time to teach the basics: Guard the ball. Help. Rotate. Close out. If we want better defenders in high school, we have to teach defense earlier.

Two weeks ago, @BraxKeathley posted a video of him hitting 113 out of 115 three-pointers. Right away, I knew he was #OneOfUs — one of those relentless workers who lives in the gym working on their game. As someone who used to shoot 1,000 shots before school every morning, I was blown away by his work ethic and sent him a DM with some training advice. He told me he’d love to get a workout in one day and that he looked up to @TyreseMaxey’s game—so I invited him to LA to train with Tyrese the following week. Turns out, @BraxKeathley can hoop! He led the state of Kentucky in scoring as a sophomore, and with his work ethic, I have no doubt he’ll keep leveling up. This interaction with Braxton made me want to start rewarding more young players who attack the game the same way with opportunities and experiences like this. If you think you’re #OneOfUs — or know someone who is — drop their profile or videos so I can check them out.
