I don’t think Team USA didn’t care. They were businesslike in their demeanor, sure. I think the narrative is that it’s hard for USA fans to care as much as other countries because their fandom lies with their MLB teams whereas other countries’ fans only have their national teams.

🚨 BREAKING: Daniel Biss leads the Democratic primary in Illinois’ seventh district with 29.9% of the vote (30,096), followed by Kat Abughazaleh at 25.5% (25,646) and Laura Fine at 20.2% (20,316), with 82.1% of expected votes counted and an estimated 22,000 ballots remaining.
The race remains competitive as outstanding votes could still shift the standings.
