@CastlesofImagin This was years before Kirkman started working on longer stories- He was writing Battle Pope and various shorts around this time which were fast and silly! Bendis had been working on his dialogue-heavy crime comics

@flopscomics It's become the norm since then. Was Bendis really writing for the trade paperbacks before Kirkman? Feels like they went that direction about the same time.
As miniseries Marvel Zombies feels written for trades.
