Why are so many professing Christians ok with abortion and same-sex marriage?

Lack of this is what is wrong in America today:

You watch a preacher long enough, he will disappoint you. You attend a church long enough, it will let you down in some way. You serve in a ministry for some time, you will get hurt. All of these are true but it does not mean you quit, get bitter or leave. It does mean that you forgive, stay steadfast and focussed on Jesus. Pray for your pastor. Be faithful in your local church. Serve others.

Titus Praise Pruitt, our precious boy, went home to be with Jesus at 12:50 AM this morning. We are heartbroken, but also joyful. Joyful about him being home in Heaven with Jesus. Joyful that he will never again experience seizures, or a wheelchair, or medicines, or crying, or pain, or surgeries or suffering. Joyful that he is finally fully healed and fully alive. Joyful that he is getting to do so many things for the very first time like walk, run, sing, and worship the King face to face. Please continue to pray for our family and especially our other kiddos as we have to learn a new normal without our Titus. We will be forever grateful for the 10 years the Lord gave us with him ❤️.

Many people never learned how to navigate conflict or how to have uncomfortable conversations. They grew up in homes where conflict was avoided and people went on as if nothing happened. Or, conflict meant explosions and the end of relationships.

PSA: A Christianity that gets you into Heaven, while allowing you to continue living however you want to here on earth is a Christianity foreign to the New Testament. The Gospel changes who you ARE, then it also changes what you DO!

The Christian message of “repent” is pure love from God. It confronts us in our sin, tells us we can be changed and be forgiven, sets our hearts toward Jesus, and stops us from harming others and ourselves. “Repent” is one of the most beautiful words you can ever hear.

A sign of spiritual maturity is the Spirit-enabled ability to not overlay past hurts on present situations.

This preacher says that the LGBTQ movement will bring forth the greatest point of persecution against the church in the next few years. Pay attention. 👂

Around the world Christians are persecuted, because they’re a part of the Church. Discomfort is expected & strengthens their faith. In the U.S. people walk away from the Church, because our feelings get hurt. Discomfort shocks us & crushes our faith. We have a lot to learn.

The goal of the church gathering isn’t for people to leave being impressed with our buildings, stage design, production quality, music, or even preaching. The goal is for people to leave being so impressed with Jesus that they want to know Him more, and tell world about Him.
