Oh my god, our new branding + swag is (づ ̄ ³ ̄)づ One of the surefire signs you're building something people want and need is when adoption happens without you in the room. I had our new t-shirts printed at a small shop here in San Francisco. The guy who runs it isn't really a developer by trade, but he'd been using Claude Code anyway. He read the shirt, which mentions our coding agent, Command Code. He grabbed our $1 Go plan. He tried it. He switched. By the time I came in to pick up the order, he was already using it for his own work. Open models are pretty good now, and at 1/100th the cost, you can do a lot. But, hey there was no sales pitch in this loop. No demo, no founder explaining anything. Just a curious person, a t-shirt, and software that was apparently good enough to make him switch within a few days. I find this kind of adoption rare and instructive. The whole loop (encounter → curiosity → try → adopt) ran in days, in one person, with a t-shirt as the only "ad." And maybe not even an ad. The product is undeniably good. Usually you need a funnel for this. Here the artifact and the work did all of it. The only other time I've seen something I worked on spread this cleanly was the Mars Helicopter at NASA. That's a strange pair of examples, but the shape is the same: the work was good, and people noticed without being told. At this point, all we need is for more people to try it. Command Code is contagious in a good way. I'm starting to think we're building the best coding agent for open models. Probably for commercial ones too. Ship! Ship! Ship!

No idea why @cole_medin and Archon isn't all over the timeline yet. This seems like the future. Doing the full set up now, have watched his videos and he seems so far ahead of other AI youtubers. I'm excited to see where it will lead, just posting this here to show support.

I've hit my codex limit I'm trying Claude code via their app. Let's see how far I get for $30. It's working well so far, I'm only at 4% usage after 10mins. I hope they're not removing Claude code from this plan. I'm still on team @claude if everything stays the same.

@cline Inspired by Pi is all the motivation I need. Pi hasn't been working for me lately so I'm going to give your CLI a go.

Special thanks to all the incredible open source projects that made the new Cline possible. Vercel AI SDK and Models.dev for our inference routing, Pi inspired how we think about plugins, OpenTUI for our snappy new CLI interface, Zed's ACP for IDE interoperability, and so many others. Introducing the Cline SDK. We rebuilt the Cline harness for our extension and CLI from scratch using all the lessons learned since creating one of the world's first coding agents in 2024, and are open sourcing it for others to build with today. npm i @cline/sdk 🧵

@MrAhmadAwais I've been working with it all day, definitely impressed. Especially with the well thought out subscriptions you'll definitely have a lot developers happy. OpenCode and Pi have some serious competition. Love that the pricing includes requests at the top with a usage calculator.

Don't know where @pullfrog came from but very impressive for an opensource version of coderabbit. Very insightful results. Will definitely pay to keep these reviews coming. Thank you @pullfrogai

@sanchitcodes @ClaudeDevs Yeah well said, I was looking at Kilo Code today and the Kilo Pass subscription definitely looks like a good deal. Especially if I ever want to use Claude models again.

@theo Wait isn't @t3dotcodes open source? Where is all this money really going?? Just playing, love all your work, streams and videos. Big fan and Anthropic are going to really fucking hate this which has made my day. Keep it up man. You're doing great work.

@kevin_jy_lu @atrium_me Don't have a LinkedIn yet, not a fan of the ID verification. But I'm glad to see another Aussie drop a project with some momentum behind it. I'll be watching closely! Good luck although I don't think you'll need it

It’s official - meet @atrium_me I've been working on a solution for those who take building relationships seriously. Personal CRMs are clunky. Inboxes overflow. So we built something new, We built a relationship studio. Comment “Atrium” for priority access.

@iAmHenryMascot @jessegenet They're desperately trying to claw back subscriptions. You can use your OpenAI plan in OpenCode, Pi, Hermes, Openclaw or wherever you want. When you hit your limits you can use all the top OS models on OpenCode Go and you can use them wherever you want, I use them in Hermes too.

Exactly how I feel!!!! I moved on from Anthropic drama over a month ago! I don’t understand why people still stress themselves with that company. That don’t even have the best models atm! What local models are you using and for what? I’ve got the 128B Max and looking to action local models more.

GUIs can never, and I mean never compete with the raw power and agency of a CLI in your terminal. It’s the biggest reason why we’ve started with a CLI @CommandCodeAI. After building what 70+ open source CLIs in over a decade. I don’t say this lightly. GUIs that exist today are restricted by the parameters of foggy notions of an old system of engineering that’s very much getting disrupted by AI. When given an option to build anything, use anyway, vs here’s what some random person on the internet thought what all your engineering work’s UI could look like, I’ll always prefer the option to do whatever I want, with no restrictions what so ever. Every single GUI app I have tried is missing so many features, so many things that I can’t do much about. Ah soo many clicks too. With the raw functionality of a CLI, I can do anything. Every time humans needed to reinvent something, they always went back to a basic input/output terminal. We don’t know what the future is of coding and engineering looks like. It’s definitely not an electron app with 60fps hard limit and 300MB min size of three columned UI. So we the engineers & builders are back to the basics. Input/Output terminals. No over engineering to get in the way of whatever the future will potentially look like. It’s not even a comparison. My opinion of course.

Are you still using the CLI versions of your preferred agent instead of desktop apps like Codex App, Conductor, or T3 Code? Tell me why below. Genuinely curious.

@christofsalis @theo I don't get why Pi doesn't work for me, I'll have to try it on an empty repo. I've tried WSL2 and PowerShell and it just doesn't work but after looking at the extensions I'm so determined to get it working.

PI because its just so damn convenient to make little extensions for everything and it just feels very transparent and minimal which scratches the right itch. I like seeing tool call details too because it gives me a good sense whats going on. Initially I did like the desktop apps sidebar, but it turned out for me multiple threats per project wasn't that useful, and for me tabs do the trick. Also - and I don't know why - I dont really resonate with the current meta of the sidebar - chat - details layout.

@theo Codex App, T3 then I default back to CLI's. Definitely prefer the app versions but OpenCode CLI has all my MCP's and plugins so would be hard to switch to their desktop app.

This is the clarity we've been crying out for. But it's a poisoned chalice. This is a 10X cut to claude -p disguised as a monthly bonus. Anthropic is discouraging any kind of programmatic usage. And that's fine - no subsidy lasts forever. But it's time to try Codex.
