In a @THISDAYLIVE article by Chinedu Eze, @FAANNIG numbers show that domestic air travel has dropped by 30% for the 1st 6 months of 2018 vs the same period in 2017. Thru traffic in Lagos has dropped to 1.8m from 2.6m in 2017. Abuja has dropped to 1.7m from 1.9m in 2017.

@fly_jetwest is about duty of care. We are fashioned in the image of the everyday Nigerian who just wants the CHOICE to travel by air safely, on time and AFFORDABLY even in the midst of economic hardship. I can’t wait to share some great news soon.

Just stumbled on these guys @fly_jetwest and the way my heart is tumbling in excitement ehn!! Really rooting for them. Hoping they launch this year and hoping they come to stay. It’s high time travel across Africa became affordable

@dikkonwachukwu @AyZico @fly_jetwest So basically @fly_jetwest will fly routes others rarely fly. Even with @Fadareak1 's analysis it might be difficult to do that. I think the reason why other airlines avoid some routes is customers and profitability. Eg. How many individuals from Nigeria go to Morocco regularly?

I need to go to Morocco on business. The local airline is asking for almost $1k for a 4 hour flight. If I take the 22 hrs option it’s 40% cheaper. If I go with an EU carrier it’s even cheaper. Madness!!! This is why I’m starting @fly_jetwest. We must connect Africa cheaper!
