It rained yesterday. So of course this happened. Again!! Even Sticklebacks cant live in the toxic waste that should be the lovely River Douglas








Our officers recently undertook barbel fry stocking at on the River Great Ouse and on the River Ivel. Around 100,000 fry were split equally between Newport Pagnell and Harrold, whilst the remaining 50,000 went into the Ivel at Biggleswade. 1/2 #Fish

@adamvaughan_uk @EnvAgency What's the chances the @EnvAgency are going to authorise yet more abstraction from local rivers and the aquifer instead of demanding the investment needed to secure water supplies thereby robbing the aquatic environment of even more of that most basic necessity of life; water.




I have asked the Mayor to change her mind on this. Public questions are still on the agenda but people will not be allowed to read their question or ask extra questions so they are being silenced.


Cllrs on @camcitco are set to discuss supporting a formal application to DEFRA for Designated Bathing Water status on a 270m stretch of the Cam, by Sheep’s Green. Campaigners @cam_friends call it ‘a distraction from achieving a pollution free and free-flowing river’
